Senior Network Engineer / Architect

Daily Tasks

• Administration, configuration and operation of network and security components (HPE Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, Infoblox).

• Design and further development of the network architecture

• Close collaboration with Architecture, Security and Application teams to ensure the optimal integration of the network infrastructure

• Support for the introduction of network automation (Python, Ansible)

• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation

Projects and Objectives

• Further development of the network infrastructure platfor.

• Taking security requirements into account

• Introduction of new technical requirements

• Planning and specification of new technologies

Education and Qualifications

• At least completed vocational training, e.g. as an IT specialist for systems integration

Professional Experience

• At least 10 years of experience in this field

Technical Skills

• Very good knowledge of the administration and design of complex network environments

• Practical experience with Cisco Nexus platforms, 9000 Series, HPE Aruba switches, Fortinet firewall systems and Infoblox

• Sound understanding of routing and switching, VLANs, VRFs, Spanning Tree, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN and MPLS

• Experience with network automation using Ansible, Python and REST APIs would be advantageous
