Our engineering culture values pragmatic solutions, automation, strong ownership, and continuous improvement supported by open feedback loops.\nWe are moving towards a cloud first architecture with a strong focus on AWS, working with technologies such as Java/Spring, Kafka, AWS Lambda, SQL/NoSQL databases, Docker, Claude and more.\nKey Tasks\nWork within a small, collaborative team using agile methodologies and practices\nTake ownership of applications across the full lifecycle, from design and implementation to operation\nProactively identify improvement opportunities and technical risks, helping shape technical direction and AI use.\nSolve real business problems by translating requirements into scalable technical solutions\nSupport an effective agile way of working by helping facilitate team ceremonies and workshops\nMentor engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and day-to-day collaboration\nTroubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring service reliability and operational stability\nCommunicate effectively in writing and verbally with local and remote colleagues and stakeholders\nWhilst the above outlines the general expectations of the role, we expect this position to evolve over time, offering opportunities to gain deeper knowledge and experience within the online and affiliate marketing domain.\nSkills & Expertise\n6+ years of professional software engineering experience\nStrong foundation in OOP and comfort working with multiple programming languages, ideally incl. Java/Spring\nCurrent knowledge of AI tooling and best practices for software development\nPassion for clean, maintainable code with a strong understanding of SOLID principles\nHands-on experience designing AWS-based systems, microservices with REST APIs, and event-driven architectures\nFocus on engineering quality through code reviews, testing, and test strategy improvement\nResponsibility for maintaining CI/CD pipelines for reliable, automated software delivery\nConfident use of Git or similar version control systems in a collaborative environment\nSolid understanding of relational databases, data modelling, and SQL\nFamiliarity with non-relational databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB\nBasic knowledge of web technologies and modern frontend frameworks, ideally Angular\nProven collaboration in cross-functional teams with Product, UX, and Agile roles\nExtensive exposure to agile processes, particularly Scrum\nJob Application Tip\nWe do not expect candidates to tick all the boxes 100%.
