Support includes coaching, teaching, and training field personnel on safe operating behaviors and the design, development, and implementation of safety and risk control programs. Functions as a subject matter expert and consultant to help internal clients build sustainable loss improvement processes within their operating organizations that they will own and operate.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nProvide daily and continuous safety support to their designated region.\nConduct compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support AWP Safety - EHS Management.\nProvide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs to the field level, facility leadership level, and regional leadership to ensure a common and effective approach.\nMaintain, audit, and update as needed AWP Safety - SOPs for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day-to-day training.\nCoach, train, guide, and mentor the regional employees through the AWP Safety Management System.\nReview accidents/incidents which occur in the area of responsibility and conduct field audits, reporting and managing the correction actions.\nParticipate in and support detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.\nAssist in the development and presentation of relevant EHS training.\nAbility to work with employees and leadership to achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance.\nTravel to branch locations and jobsites as required and perform any additional duties as needed.\nField Specific Responsibilities\nVisit and walk the jobsites on a regular basis to establish EHS presence and provide support- 80% Travel within designated region.\nConduct daily, weekly, and monthly EHS Meetings/Trainings and schedule as needed.\nPerform field safety observations during each visit.\nConduct critical behavior-based safety observations as needed.\nPerform additional duties as assigned by the Business Unit EHS Director.\nWork with the branch leadership and field teams to ensure work practices are understood and followed.\nConduct EHS audits and assessments of on-going operations to measure compliance with regulatory requirements and conformance to AWP Safety company policies and procedures.\nServes as the single point of contact for Region and Branch leadership in area of responsibility.\nEnsures EHS policies, procedures, programs, and systems are trained and available to the employees.\nKey Performance Indicator Metrics\nThis position will be responsible to influence the following performance metrics:\nEHS Management System Facility Action Plans\nRegion EHS Training Compliance: >95%\nOSHA Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR): OSHA Days Away Restricted and Transfer Cases (DART)\nIncident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis\nWeekly Branch Location Visit Summary Completion: 8/week - 32/month - 384/year\nDriver Qualification Files and Compliance: >95%\nResponsible Vehicle Accident Rate\nCoverage area- Ashville, Charlotte, Greenville, Greensboro, Raleigh, Columbia, SC, & Jacksonville\nTravel - 80% (includes day travel)\n 5-8 years of work experience in the EHS field\n Bachelor’s degree in EHS or any applicable field preferred, not required\nEHS certification a plus\nProficient skills in Microsoft Office software applications, software management systems, and EHS management systems and reporting platforms.\nValid Driver’s License void of suspension or revocation with good driving record.\n Benefits-eligible 1st of the month following hire.\nAll traditional benefits are offered, including 3 medical plan options and 2 dental plan options, as well as additional benefits such as Legal and Identity Shield, Accident, and Critical Illness\nCompany paid 50k in basic life insurance.\nCompany paid LTD.\nHealth Savings and Flex Spending Accounts Available\n401(k)\nPaid Time Off & Paid Holidays\nAWP named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces 2023 for Diversity\nCompensation: $90-115K + Company Vehicle + 10% AIP Bonus.\nThe base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
