This role is instrumental in achieving success through hard work, integrity, and developing yourself and others.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDirect leadership/supervision for 30+ protectors (field based crews)\nSupport the Area Manager and General Manager in managing and executing company initiatives\nCollaborate daily with all Area Staff, with a goal of Continuous Improvement in all functional areas of the business\nMaintain Field (80%) and Office (20%) Responsibilities\nEnsure safety, quality, training, employee engagement, and retention standards are met\nProtect the company’s team members, customers, and assets against losses, injuries, and accidents through enforcement of safe work practices\nCoach, Motivate, and Develop assigned team of protectors\nDevelop relationships with new and existing customers to achieve goals and new business opportunities\nPerform job site and vehicle inspections, attend pre-bid meetings, meet with clients, and work in the field with the team as needed\nAddress customer service issues are promptly and efficiently while providing the highest level of customer service\nAssist in preparing daily schedules\nMonitor daily employee issues including payroll, timekeeping, benefits, time off requests, customer issues, and training requirements\nFacilitate teambuilding efforts and regular communications with team members\nEngage and support the training of new and current employees to reduce turnover, promote efficiency and reduce labor costs\nObtain ATSSA and state-specific certifications\nBecome a subject matter expert in work zone setup/design and professional flagging\nOther duties as assigned \n REQUIREMENTS\n4-year degree in a business-related field is a plus but not required\nHigh School Diploma or GED completion required\n1-2 years of supervisor experience and building teams with 20+ team member\nMust be able to and enjoy connecting with field-level customers and contacts\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to build and maintain working relationships with your team\nContributes to the engagement and ongoing development of AWP Safety employees\nIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems\nMust adhere to and promote safe workplace practices\nValid drivers’ license and ability to meet AWP Safety driver standards\nWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include but are not limited to the following:\nVariable hours of operation based on staffing needs and workload\nAbility to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing walking, and driving\nRegular exposure to all weather conditions in combination with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions\n Majority of time will be spent in the field (80%)\nMay be required to lift or carry objects up to 40 pounds\n WHAT YOU WILL LOVE/PERKS\nCompany provided vehicle with fuel card, which includes qualified personal use privileges\nCareer Growth\nPaid Time Off and Paid Holidays\nBenefits eligible the 1st of the month following hire\nAll traditional benefits are offered, including 3 medical plan options and 2 dental plan options, as well as additional benefits such as legal and identity protection, accident, critical illness, and others\nCompany paid $50,000 in basic life insurance\nCompany paid long term disability (LTD)\nHealth Savings and Flex Spending Accounts Available\n401(k) with company match\nAWP named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces 2023 and 2025 for Diversity\n$60,000-70,000 depending on experience\nAWP Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
