This role is instrumental in achieving success through hard work, integrity, and developing yourself and others.\nSupport the Area Manager and General Manager in managing your team of protectors. \nCollaborate daily with all Area Staff, with a goal of Continuous Improvement in all functional areas of the business\nDirect supervision for Field crews\nMaintain Field/Office Responsibilities; 80% in Field and 20% in Office\nEnsure that safety, quality, training, employee engagement, and retention are a prime focus of the business\nProtect the company’s employees, customers, and assets against losses, injuries, and accidents through enforcement of safe work practices\nCoach, Motivate, Develop your team of protectors\nDevelop relationships with internal and external customers to achieve goals and new business opportunities \nPerform field and vehicle inspections, attend pre-bid meetings, meet with clients and work in the field with the team as needed\nEnsure customer service issues are addressed promptly and efficiently while providing the highest level of customer service \nAssist in preparing daily schedules\nMonitor daily employee issues including payroll, timekeeping, benefits, time off requests, customer issues, and training requirements\nFacilitate teambuilding efforts and regular communications with team members \nEngage and support the training of new and current employees to reduce turnover, promote efficiency and reduce labor costs \nObtain ATSSA and state-specific certifications \nBecome a subject matter expert in work zone setup/design and professional flagging \nOther duties as assigned \n High School Diploma or GED completion \n4-year degree in a business-related field is a plus but not required\n1-2 years of supervisor experience and building teams with 20+ individuals\nMust be able to and enjoy connecting with field-level customers and contacts\nExcellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills \nTake the initiative to build work relationships with your team \nContributes to the engagement and ongoing development of AWP Safety employees \nIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems \nMust adhere to and promote safe workplace practices \nValid Driver’s License void of suspension or revocation \nHours of operation may vary based on staffing needs and workload \nTypical workweek 50 hours \nMajority of time will be in the field\nThe position may work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, not limited to heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt \nOccasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving vehicles, and occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites \nNoise levels in the work environment and job sites can be loud \nPosition may lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds \nIf necessary, in the field, stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions; employee lifts pushes, pulls, or carries objects \nCompensation: $60K-75K Base + 7% AIP Bonus + Company Vehicle and Gas Card.\nThe base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
