America’s roads and work zone professionals need and deserve AWP Safety protection.\n We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Sign Installer.\nThe ideal candidate will possess technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. A strong commitment to safety and the ability to collaborate with coworkers and supervisors are essential to success in this role.\nResponsibilities:\nInstall NCDOT Type D, E, and F permanent roadside signs according to project plans and specifications.\nInstall temporary construction signs using square tubing, portable sign stands, and other approved mounting systems.\nRead construction plans, sign schedules, and traffic control plans.\nMeasure, locate, and mark sign locations accurately.\nSet posts in concrete or driven foundations as required.\nAssemble sign panels, brackets, and mounting hardware.\nVerify proper sign height, offset, orientation, and spacing to meet NCDOT standards.\nLoad, unload, and transport materials safely.\nOperate company trucks, trailers, and light construction equipment.\nPerform daily inspections of vehicles, tools, and equipment.\nMaintain a clean and organized worksite.\nFollow all OSHA, MUTCD, and NCDOT safety requirements.\nWork safely around live traffic while utilizing proper traffic control procedures.\nComplete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors, inspectors, and project managers.\n Construction experience\nTraffic control experience\nSign installation experience\nAbility to read tape measures and construction plans\nValid driver’s license\nAbility to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly\nComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions\nWork Environment\nRegular exposure to outdoor elements, including varying temperatures, humidity, and weather conditions.\n What We Offer:\nCompetitive Hourly Pay: Starting at $16-22/hour, based on experience, guaranteed pay increase within the first year.\nRapid Advancement: Potential opportunities to progress to Lead Protector, Field Supervisor, or Manager roles\nComprehensive Training: Paid, on-the-job training including ATSSA certification and defensive driving, with ongoing professional development\nRecognition and Rewards: Competitive referral incentives and recognition for your dedication and hard work\n Benefits: * Eligible 1st of the month following 30 days of employment\nAll traditional benefits are offered, including 3 medical plan options and 2 dental plan options, as well as Vision, and additional benefits such as Legal and Identity Shield, Accident, Critical Illness, STD and LTD\nCompany paid 50K in basic life insurance\nHealth Savings and Flex Spending Accounts Available\n401(K)\nPaid Time Off\nOvertime opportunities\n Seize the Opportunity to Make a Difference Every Day!\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nAWP considers any position that requires the individual to drive an AWP vehicle and/or be present at an AWP worksite for any reason a safety sensitive position.\nAWP Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
