Development\nDesign and maintain relational databases using technologies such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.\nWork with database modelling, migrations, indexes, transactions, data integrity, and query optimisation.\nDevelopment Team Leadership\nLead and support frontend and backend developers while remaining actively involved in hands-on development.\nTranslate business and functional requirements into clear technical tasks and support developers in resolving technical challenges.\nHelp ensure development work is delivered consistently and follows agreed technical and coding standards.\nCode Review and Development Standards\nReview pull requests for code quality, security, performance, maintainability, and testing.\nPromote good practices around clean code, architecture, documentation, version control, testing, and maintainable software design.\nTesting and Quality\nDevelop and maintain automated tests including unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.\nWork closely with QA teams to investigate and resolve defects and ensure changes meet agreed requirements before release.\nSystem Design and Performance\nContribute to scalable and maintainable software architecture.\nWork with technologies and patterns such as caching, queues, asynchronous processing, background jobs, and distributed services where required.\nIdentify and resolve application performance issues across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.\nSecurity and Access Control\nFollow secure software development practices.\nImplement appropriate authentication, authorisation, role-based access control, data validation, and application security measures.\nTeam Support and Collaboration\nMentor developers, provide technical guidance, and encourage knowledge sharing across the development team.\nWork closely with Product, Business Analysis, QA, AI/ML, Security, and other development teams to support technical planning and delivery.\nSkills and Qualifications\nMinimum 5 to 7 years of professional software development experience.\nAt least 2 years of technical leadership or development team leadership experience.\nStrong experience with TypeScript and JavaScript.\nStrong frontend experience with React, Next.js, or equivalent technologies.\nStrong backend experience with Node.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks.\nStrong experience designing and integrating REST APIs.\nExperience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases.\nExperience with ORM technologies such as Prisma, TypeORM, Sequelize, or equivalent.\nExperience with Redis, caching, queues, or asynchronous processing.\nStrong understanding of software architecture and scalable application design.\nExperience with authentication, authorisation, RBAC, and application security.\nExperience with automated testing using tools such as Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.\nStrong experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and version control best practices.\nGood understanding of software performance, security, and maintainability.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nStrong communication and team leadership skills.\nAbility to lead developers while remaining actively involved in software development.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with Next.js, NestJS, Prisma, PostgreSQL, and Redis.\nExperience with multi-tenant SaaS or enterprise applications.\nExperience with OAuth, JWT, SSO, and enterprise authentication systems.\nUnderstanding of GDPR, accessibility, and secure software development.\nExperience integrating applications with AI/ML or LLM-based services.\nFamiliarity with Python, FastAPI, or related technologies.\nExperience with vector databases, knowledge graphs, or AI application architectures.\nExperience mentoring developers and improving development standards and processes.\nEducational Requirements\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering,
