The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking and security, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for learning and developing new skills. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing networks and security measures to safeguard our networks and systems against current and emerging cyber threats, with a particular focus on Datacentre, 3GPP mobile network CORE and RAN environments.\nKey Responsibilities:\nNetworking, Segmentation, Optimization and Maintenance\nDesign, configure and implement highly scalable L2/L3 networks using varieties of protocols and vendor equipment.\nMonitor network traffic and analyse security incidents to detect and respond to threats within mobile network environments.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot network related issues associated with L1-L7 using varieties of tools, ensuring quick recovery and minimum network downtime.\nCarry out periodic backups of network device operating system and configurations to ensure timely restoration of critical network services.\nDesign and implement network security solutions such as Policies, IPS, SSLVPN, IPSec VPN and security profiles using Next-Gen Firewalls (FortiGate/Palo-Alto)\nDevelop and apply network segmentation strategies to strengthen security and safeguard sensitive information within the core network.\nWork closely with other teams to establish and enforce network access policies, ensuring that only authorized individuals and devices have the correct access privileges.\nProactive Security Testing and Vulnerability Management\nConduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses in mobile network architectures.\nDevelop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.\nDesign and implement security protocols and solutions to protect network infrastructure\nDevelop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.\nWork together with system administrators and application owners to resolve discovered vulnerabilities by applying necessary patches or making configuration adjustments.\nCreate and sustain a thorough vulnerability management program that includes tracking vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and planning remediation strategies.\nEngage in network security incident response efforts by providing technical expertise and supporting investigations when needed.\nStay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, particularly related to 3GPP standards and mobile networks.\nCollaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security measures into network architecture, including mobile network elements.\nRespond to security breaches and provide incident response and disaster recovery support.\nQualifications/Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).\nMaster’s degree in Cybersecurity or Networking is desirable.\nProven experience as a Network and Security Engineer or similar role, with focus on IP network design, implementation, T-shoot and mobile network security.\nUnderstanding of 3GPP mobile network CORE and RAN architectures and security requirements.\nStrong knowledge of network security protocols, VPN, firewall management, and intrusion detection systems.\nExperience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.\nFamiliarity with regulatory standards and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).\nIn-depth understanding of routers, switches, firewalls, and switching/routing protocols -
