You will support the UK & Lloyd’s business with involvement with Global colleagues. You will be operating in an exciting and dynamic environment with opportunities to learn about and support the business, working collaboratively with the established legal team as well as various stakeholders across the business, both in the UK and overseas.\nWhatyou’ll be doing\nWhat will your essential responsibilities include?\nPartner with underwriters and teams across delegated authority, distribution, claims, wordings, compliance, conduct and operations to deliver clear, practical legal advice.\nAdvise on delegated underwriting and claims arrangements, distribution models and related regulatory requirements across Company and Lloyd’s markets.\nDraft, review and negotiate commercial and insurance agreements, including binding authorities, claims administration agreements, broker agreements, TOBAs, service agreements, NDAs and endorsements.\nDevelop specialist legal expertise in facilities, algorithmic underwriting and other innovative distribution models-a cutting-edge and growing area for the UK business - supporting on complex structures, governance, contractual arrangements and regulatory risk.\nSupport product governance and conduct matters, including Consumer Duty, Product Oversight and fair value. \nSupport with outsourcing and service company arrangements. \nLead and contribute to cross-functional projects, legal templates, training and continuous improvement initiatives.\nUse AI and other legal technologies responsibly to improve efficiency, insight and the delivery of legal services.\nRepresent Legal on internal committees. \nCollaborate with colleagues in the UK and internationally, building broad exposure to the business.\nMonitor legal, regulatory and market developments, translating change into pragmatic guidance and opportunities for the business.\nYou will report to Head of Legal - Delegated and Distribution (UK & Lloyd’s).\nWhatyou’ll bring\nWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\nUK legal qualifications essential - Law degree and qualified Solicitor or similar;\nProven post qualification legal work experience in a relevant field, insurance focus prefereable;\nExcellent written and collaborative communication;\nAble to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders;\nAbility to work in an international, multicultural environment within financial services;\nAn ability to work independently and on own initiative whilst being part of a wider team, bringing energy and enthusiasm to collaborative working;\nAbility to prioritize conflicting needs and progress matters expeditiously, proactively and follow through on projects to successful completion;\nA proactive approach to problem-solving with good decision-making capability. \nWhatweoffer\nInclusion\nAXA XL is committed to equal employment opportunity and will consider applicants regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity and origins, marital status, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
