We’re strengthening our local presence and expanding our geographic footprint across the region. As part of this investment, we’ll be recruiting a new Business Development Manager to join our growing Southampton team.\nYou’ll use your expertise to build, manage and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, including all key customers and networks to deliver strategy and increase opportunities for the business.\nKey responsibilities:\nProactively develop strong relationships with a designated panel of brokers, taking full ownership for the generation and retention of profitable business.\nBuild, manage and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.\nDevelop a robust pipeline of new business opportunities and ensure a long-term pipeline and broker engagement.\nCommunicate the nature of the brokers’ business, the marketplace and the potential of the relationship.\nPlan, forecast and set the operational targets to achieve the strategic development plan.\nIdentify new deals and markets, assess feasibility and project manage the implementation.\nEffectively promote and deploy AXA’s strategy, product range, propositions and key differentiators to leverage commercial opportunities.\nUndertake profit reviews to identify areas for improvement and lead conversations with brokers to agree actions to optimise profitability. \nWork arrangements:\nAt AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) from December 2026.
