You will play a central role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all building systems. You will support day-to-day facilities operations, deliver a high standard of service to tenants, and help maintain the long-term value and performance of the asset. This role requires robust technical capability, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to building operations and maintenance.\nWhat you’ll be DOING\nWhat will your essential responsibilities include?\nOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot all major building systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, vertical transportation, and building automation systems.\nConduct routine Maintenance inspections of mechanical rooms, equipment, and common areas to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance, to all mechanical systems ensuring work is completed efficiently, documented accurately, and aligned with manufacturer's recommendations and internal procedures.\nRespond to tenant service requests, diagnose issues, and resolve problems promptly while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach.\nSupport vendor and contractor oversight, including coordinating access, monitoring work quality, and ensuring adherence to building policies and safety requirements.\nAssist with capital and operational projects, including equipment upgrades, system replacements, and energy efficiency initiatives.\nMaintain accurate records, including logs, work orders, equipment histories, and compliance documentation.\nParticipate in emergency response activities, including after-hours support for critical incidents, weather events, or system failures.\nPromote a culture of safety, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and best practices.\nMust hold a refrigerant handling license/certified technician under the clean air act.\nYou will report to the The Building Operations Manager.\nWhat you will BRING\nWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\nTechnical training or certification in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or building systems; refrigerant handling license required. \nExtensive experience in commercial building operations and facilities maintenance - ability to be readily available to respond to emergencies as they arise. \nRobust working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently.\nExperience with building automation systems (BAS). \nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.\nOutstanding communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent tenant service.\nAbility to work without supervision, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively in urgent or unexpected situations.\nPhysical capability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in mechanical spaces.\nWho WE are\nAXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks.
