You will play a key role in promoting a safe and healthy workplace while supporting the delivery of effective health and safety governance, reporting, training and compliance activities.\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintain and communicate the Safety Statement, risk assessments, policies and procedures\nConduct compliance reviews and gap analyses, tracking corrective actions through to completion\nChair quarterly Health & Safety Committee meetings and support Health & Safety Representatives\nManage fire safety arrangements, including emergency planning, fire wardens and annual fire drills\nManage first aid provisions, including training and coverage requirements\nDeliver and maintain health and safety inductions and awareness programmes\nOversee incident and near-miss reporting, investigations and corrective actions\nAct as a liaison with Operational Resilience and Incident Management teams during significant events\nMonitor DSE assessment completion and implementation of recommendations\nConduct workplace inspections and track actions to closure\nSupport the development of security and emergency preparedness plans\nAct as the primary point of contact for health and safety advice and queries\nProduce monthly Health & Safety reports, including KPIs, incidents, training, inspections, compliance activities and improvement actions\nSkills & Experience\nMinimum 2 years' experience in a Health & Safety Coordinator, Administrator, Facilities or Workplace Operations role within an office-based environment\nExperience supporting risk assessments, incident reporting, workplace inspections, contractor management and health and safety training\nStrong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting systems\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively\nA proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement\nQualifications\nRelevant third-level qualification (NFQ Level 6 or higher) in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Business, Human Resources, Facilities Management or a related discipline\nRecognised Health & Safety qualification\nGood working knowledge of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and associated Irish health and safety regulations\nWhat We're Looking For\nA proactive and organised individual with a passion for workplace health and safety\nSomeone who can build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business\nA confident communicator who can influence and promote a positive safety culture\nA detail-oriented professional committed to compliance and continuous improvement\nA team player who can work collaboratively while taking ownership of key health and safety initiatives\nWhy Join Laya Healthcare\nPlay a key role in maintaining and enhancing workplace health and safety standards\nGain valuable experience across a broad range of health and safety activities\nWork with stakeholders across the organisation and contribute to a positive safety culture\nBe part of a collaborative and supportive team environment\nMake a meaningful impact through a varied and rewarding 12-month contract opportunity\nDiversity, Equity & Inclusion\nAt Laya Healthcare, we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to succeed.
