Your key tasks include: underwriting business within the agreed business plan and individual authority; supporting the business planning and forecasting process; monitoring financial exposure within outlined limits; monitoring premium income to ensure it remains within set limits; maintaining awareness of all claims advised while supporting and providing input on settlement of claims; ensuring adequate reinsurance acquired to cover specific risks; building and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients; supporting the design and structure of risks.\nThis is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nWhat will your essential responsibilities include?\nOwn and develop a distinctive General Aviation portfolio in Switzerland \nAssess and price complex, high-profile risks using actuarial tools and market insights, in close cooperation with regional and global functions\nAnalyse submission data and loss runs, and perform market research to determine the degree of risk and make clear underwriting decisions\nStructure and negotiate deals, define conditions and manage capacities in line with our Underwriting Guidelines and Risk Appetite Strategy\nEngage with clients and brokers to build trusted relationships and generate business opportunities through site visits or participation at industry events.\nYou will report to the Underwriting Manager Aerospace, Switzerland.\nWhat you’ll bring\nWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:\nSeveral years of experience as an Aerospace Underwriter with deep knowledge of the (local) general aviation insurance market\nKnowledge of the Aerospace industry is a significant benefit\nPassion for anything that flies with the willingness and motivation to go the extra mile to keep our clients airborne\nThrives when working in a dynamic environment and can adapt to changes with ease\nPuts the team's interests before their own and fosters a positive and inclusive team environment\nLoves to be empowered and feels comfortable taking decisions and managing multiple priorities\nFluent in German and English (speaking and writing).
