You will be part of one of AXA XL’s key Specialty Lines insurance businesses and a member of a market leading team recognized globally for its excellence in the industry.\nThis is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime.\nWhat you’ll be DOING\nWhat will your essential responsibilities include?\nExercise discretion and independent judgment in the analysis and evaluation of risk by reference to business strategy and risk appetite. \nWorking collaboratively in a team environment, assisting underwriters, underwriting assistants and management team. \nAnalyze performance of portfolio as well as individual account performance and develop appropriate action to drive profitable growth based upon the analysis. \nMaintain compliance with all internal and external underwriting guidelines and legal requirements \nUnderstand the strategy and targets of AXA XL including financial measures. \nPlan, develop and integrate distribuion & marketing plans to achieve top and bottom line objectives. \nDevelop and maintain long-term business relationships with key groups and individuals within the London market. \nPromote the company's expertise by participating in industry conferences and events while regularly conducting and taking leadership roles in client and broker meetings. \nNegotiate with brokers to win targeted business at the right price, while declining business that is not in line with strategy or pricing. \nOperate at all times within defined authority level and in line with AXA XL’s underwriting policies, rules and guidelines, and referral requirements. \nDevelop and drive customer service performance to established standards. \nDeliver service excellence through effective collaboration including contribution to the recording and maintenance of high quality data in underwriting systems. \nSupport the business planning and forecasting process. \nMaintain awareness of all claims advised while supporting and providing input on settlement of claims. \nPossess an expert level of technical knowledge and skills including product and industry. \nYou will report toUnderwriting Manager - Political Risk, Credit & Bond, Iberia based in Madrid.\nWhat you will BRING\nWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:\nRelevant experience in the banking or insurance sector (or other financial institution) with a focus on credit and/or political risk analysis.\nProven experience in PRCB Underwriting activities and best practice will be highly considered.
