You will be leading product distribution and relationships across the professional lines products including commercial PI, Information Technology, Cyber, Management Liability and Financial Planners.\nWhat you’ll be DOING\nLeading all operations of Brooklyn’s International Financial Lines division including:\nStrategic planning\nChange management\nAchieving business targets\nBroker relationships and development with support from distribution\nStaff advancement, clear goal setting and mentoring\nFostering culture\nProduct and systems innovation\nCollaboration with AXA XL IFL colleagues\nPersonal development \nHuman Objectives\nProviding oversight and day-to-day direction through regular communication\nStaff mentoring - Regional Managers & Senior UW’s\nPerformance management - aligning to strategic pillars\nCollaborate across all Brooklyn product lines\nMaintain and develop Broker relationships Australia-wide\nLiaison with AXA XL colleagues to foster and build strong internal working relationships\nPromote a spirit of team work, collaboration and fairness\nFostering a cohesive workplace culture that aligns with the company’s values and ‘Our Commitments’\nOperational Objectives\nOverall portfolio management of the following business lines:\nPI\nCyber\nManagement Liability\n\nTeam Performance reporting\nUnderstand portfolio pricing, provide recommendations relevant to market cycles, performance and growth strategies.\nStructured framework around new business quotations, renewals and policy maintenance while providing advice and technical support to senior staff in alignment to SoA capabilities.\nSupervision and improvement of the online quotation system\nAdherence to agreed Service Standards\nMaintenance adherence to all Underwriting Guidelines\nReviewing all product wordings and collaboration with AXA XL IFL as to changes or improvements.\nEnsure compliance with AXA XL corporate regulations and standards\nBusiness development activities\nNew Product initiatives\nSystems innovation\nFinancial Objectives\nAchieve annual Gross Written Premium target across all lines\nYou will report to Head of Brooklyn.\nWhat you will BRING\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\nWe’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:\nBachelor’s degree preferred with equivalent experience.\nPossess a high and extensive level of technical knowledge and skills including product & industry.\nAbility to work independently.\nAbility to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation.\nMarketing - Effectively plan for sales and business development. Integrating the use of various techniques, tools, and information to support profitable business growth over a defined period. \nNegotiation/Sales - Plan, structure and conduct negotiations with brokers and/or clients to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties.\nInterpersonal Savvy - Build excellent interpersonal relationships with brokers, clients & colleagues with the intention of improving personal profile and reputation within Brooklyn Underwriting and AXA and the broader market.\nIndustry Knowledge - Understanding of the insurance industry and specific product portfolios to positively impact the underwriting business.\nStrategy/Planning - Make underwriting decisions to fulfill the business strategic plan and deliver results.
