This includes working with cloud-based data platforms, implementing best practices in data engineering, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high impact data products.\n\nWhat You'll Be DOING\n\nWhat will your essential responsibilities include\n\nDevelop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to support reporting and analytics.\nBuild and support ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as SSIS, Informatica, and Databricks with PySpark and Python.\nSupport the deployment and management of data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Databricks.\nCreate and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations for end users.\nCollaborate with Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective data solutions.\nAssist in designing data models and architectures that support scalable and efficient data processing.\nIncorporate data security, compliance, and governance best practices into data pipelines, especially considering sensitive reinsurance data.\nDocument processes and communicate technical details clearly to team members and stakeholders.\nSupport cloud data platform implementation, ensuring security, performance, and compliance standards are met.\nParticipate in Agile/Scrum teams, contributing to sprints, stand-ups, and planning sessions.\nKeep abreast of the latest trends in data engineering, cloud technologies, and analytics to improve data solutions.\n\nYou will report to Technical Lead.\n\nWhat You Will BRING\n\nWe're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:\n\nRequired Skills And Abilities\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. \nRelevant years of experience in data engineering, including SQL, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and ETL/ELT development.\nProven experience with ETL/ELT tools such as SSIS, Informatica, and Databricks (PySpark, Python).\nExperience with cloud data platforms like Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL.\nRobust skills in Power BI, including creating reports, dashboards, and performing data analysis to support business needs.\nProficiency in scripting with Python and PySpark.\nFamiliarity with modern data storage technologies like Parquet, Avro, Blob Storage is a plus.\nKnowledge of data security, compliance, and governance standards.\nExperience working within Agile/Scrum processes.\n\nDesired Skills And Abilities\n\nCertifications in Azure Data Engineering or related areas are a plus.\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nPassion for delivering high-quality data solutions that enable business insights.Competency: description.\n\nWho WE are\n\nAXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks.
