This role leads front-line employees, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivers performance against production, cost, and delivery targets. The supervisor serves as the primary link between management and hourly employees, driving accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.\nReports To: Manufacturing Manager\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead daily shift operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and schedule attainment.\n\nEnforce safety policies, housekeeping standards, and regulatory compliance.\n\nMonitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.\n\nEnsure adherence to standard work, operating procedures, and quality requirements.\n\nCoordinate staffing, work assignments, and shift coverage to meet production needs.\n\nIdentify and escalate operational, safety, quality, and equipment concerns.\n\nLead shift handoffs, team meetings, and daily communication activities.\n\nTrain, coach, and develop employees to improve performance and skills.\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving efforts, and process optimization.\n\nMaintain accurate production, inventory, and operational records.\n\nQualifications & Competencies:\nSafety & Compliance\nStrong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.\n\nAbility to identify risks, resolve unsafe conditions, and promote a safety-first culture.\n\nOperations & Quality\nExperience executing production plans and meeting operational goals.\n\nUnderstanding of quality systems, process controls, and continuous improvement principles.\n\nAbility to analyze performance metrics and take corrective action.\n\nLeadership\nProven ability to lead, motivate, and develop front-line employees.\n\nStrong coaching, accountability, and team-building skills.\n\nEffective communicator with the ability to collaborate across shifts and departments.\n\nProblem Solving\nAbility to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive sustainable improvements.\n\nExperience supporting Lean, Kaizen, 6S, or similar operational excellence programs preferred.\n\nSuccess Measures:\nSafe and compliant operations\n\nAchievement of production and quality targets\n\nConsistent execution of standard work\n\nEmployee engagement and accountability\n\nContinuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance\n\nWork Environment:\nThe Production Supervisor is expected to maintain a visible presence on the production floor, actively support employees, champion company values, and drive operational excellence within the assigned area.\n\nThis is an active opening for which we are recruiting to fill immediately.\nAxalta operates its business in two segments: Performance Coatings and Mobility Coatings, which serve four end markets, including Refinish, Industrial, Light Vehicle and Commercial Vehicle, across North America, EMEA, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.
