We have a vast and ever-evolving portfolio of brands primed to play an important part in everything from modernizing infrastructure around the world to enabling the next generation of electric and autonomous vehicles.\nJob Summary\nThe Quality Technician supports the Quality function by performing laboratory testing, maintaining quality systems documentation, assisting with investigations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives at our manufacturing site. This role is critical in ensuring products meet customer requirements, internal quality standards, and regulatory expectations.\nSchedule\nMonday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (occasional Saturday depending on business needs)\nOvertime as needed\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform routine quality control testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods using established laboratory methods and procedures.\nConduct sampling procedures and accurately record inspection and test results.\nSupport Quality Engineers with customer complaint investigations and product issue resolution.\nAssist with Quality Notifications (QNs), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and internal quality investigations.\nParticipate in root cause analysis activities using methodologies such as 5 Why, 8D, CAPA, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).\nAssist with internal quality audits and quality system compliance activities.\nCreate, maintain, and ensure compliance with quality system documentation, procedures, and work instructions.\nTrack, trend, and analyze quality data to support key quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.\nPerform in-process quality checks, application testing, and incoming raw material inspections.\nMaintain laboratory records, filing systems, and retain sample inventories.\nSupport laboratory housekeeping, inventory management, and quality improvement projects.\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent, required\nPrevious Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or laboratory testing experience or similar experience\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills\nAbility to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing and laboratory environment\nExperience in manufacturing, chemical, coatings, automotive, or industrial environment, preferred\nExperience with root cause analysis, CAPA, audits, and quality systems.\nAbility to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nRequired use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when necessary.\nModerate noise levels typical of manufacturing environments.\nOur Company:\nAxalta has remained at the forefront of the coatings industry by continually investing in innovative solutions.
