We have a vast and ever-evolving portfolio of brands primed to play an important part in everything from modernizing infrastructure around the world to enabling the next generation of electric and autonomous vehicles.\nWe are currently looking for aSenior Quality Engineer to join us at our facility in Front Royal, VA.\nSummary:\nThe Senior Quality Engineer proactively improves product quality\n\nThis role will help the functions and manufacturing site exceed our customer expectations by designing and deploying processes to mitigate product risk\n\nReports to: Site Quality Manager\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nExecutes and oversees the internal Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) process\n\nParticipate in the site internal audits to identify and address improvement opportunities\n\nMaintains QN and CAPA metrics and strives for improvement in systems based on trended data\n\nImplements advanced statistical methods, process automation, and predictive quality modeling\n\nPerforms root cause analysis utilizing 5 Why, 8D, CAPA, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)\n\nDrive continuous improvement through communication and training on quality standards, requirements, and best practices\n\nMaintain the appropriate documents and files to align with the site Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001 standards\n\nUtilizes quality tools (process mapping, Failure modes Effects Analysis (FMEA), control plans) to drive quality into processes\n\nExecutes sampling procedures and records inspection results\n\nCompletes detailed documentation and reports of all inspection activities in accordance with Company policy and customer specified requirements\n\nMentors junior quality staff\n\nMay direct technical and administrative workers engaged in quality activities\n\nOther duties as assigned by the Quality Manager\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering or Chemistry, or high school degree and equivalent experience\n\nStrong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nAble to work efficiently in a team environment\n\nAble to travel (less than 10% of total time)\n\nAble to work in a manufacturing and laboratory environment\n\nSix Sigma Black Belt certification preferred\n\nASQ Certified Quality Engineer, or similar certification preferred\n\n5+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering position\n\nExperience in an automotive quality assurance environment is preferred\n\nExperience in automotive coatings formulation and/or application is preferred\n\nThis is an active opening for which we are recruiting to fill immediately.\nWe consider an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience to determine final salary.
