APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical business applications. You will play a key role in providing technical and functional support, managing incidents and changes, monitoring application health, and ensuring service continuity. Working closely with users, development teams, operations, and infrastructure teams, you will contribute to delivering a high-quality service and an excellent user experience.
What You Will Do on a Daily Basis
Provide technical and functional support to users, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
Monitor and supervise application environments to guarantee service availability and performance.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, problems, and service requests.
Coordinate with development, production, operations, and other support teams when required.
Manage and orchestrate application releases within your scope of responsibility.
Perform proactive analysis to identify risks, prevent incidents, and improve service quality.
Ensure the smooth execution of application workflows, batch processes, and data transfers.
Process user requests related to specific operations, data extraction, and business activities.
Create and maintain operating procedures and technical documentation.
Build and enrich the application's knowledge base and documentation repository.
Analyze and improve the performance of technical and functional components to enhance the user experience.
Implement monitoring solutions and define control points to ensure service reliability.
Manage functional change requests and support continuous service improvement initiatives.
Contribute to process compliance, remediation activities, and operational excellence.
Produce reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding incidents and resolutions.
Your Key Skills
Strong knowledge of Application Support and IT Operations environments.
Experience with ITIL processes and service management practices.
Good knowledge of Linux environments.
Your Main Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Between 3 and 5 years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, or similar roles.
Experience providing technical and functional support for business-critical applications.
Experience in application monitoring, incident management, and service improvement initiatives.
Solid understanding of production environments and infrastructure requirements.
Experience working in complex and multicultural environments.
Knowledge of Financial Markets is considered a plus.
Professional English proficiency (written and spoken).
Professional French is considered a plus.
Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a collaborative team mindset.
