The role also supports Group reporting requirements, ensuring consistency and compliance with group accounting policies.\nKey Responsibilities\n Assist the Finance team with day-to-day accounting and finance activities\nAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice verification and payment follow-ups\nAssist in monitoring outstanding invoices and following up on pending settlements\nAssist in preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations\nAssist in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions\nSupport the preparation and maintenance of monthly and quarterly financial records, schedules, and reports\nAssist with month-end and year-end closing activities\nAssist in fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, and disposals and assets tagging\nMaintain and update the fixed asset register and supporting documentation\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date finance documentation and filing in line with internal controls\nSupport the preparation of supporting schedules for audits, tax requirements, and internal reviews\nAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow-related activities when required\nPerform other finance-related duties and ad hoc assignments as assigned by the Finance team\nPerson Specifications\nEducation & Professional Qualifications\nFollowing Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA Sri Lanka or equivalent) or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field\nTechnical & Functional Skills\nKnowledge of accounting standards (SLFRS / IFRS)\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel\nAttention to detail and ability to meet deadlines\nSoft Skills & Competencies\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills\nGood
