The Driver is often the first representative of Axiom Care that a client will meet and must be able to conduct themselves with professionalism and show compassion for our clients.\nShift: Monday - Friday (8:00AM - 4:00PM)\nJob Functions:\nPick up clients from hospitals, police stations, jails, other medical facilities, and Axiom referral partners, and transport them to the appropriate Axiom facility.\nHelp orient new clients to Axiom facility - introduce client to housing staff upon arrival to Axiom Care facility.\nDe-escalate crisis situations as needed.\nIf/when appropriate, draw from personal recovery experience to encourage clients to actively seek recovery.\nSafely transport clients to and from off-site appointments as needed. · Transport client’s post-treatment to their next treatment setting and ensure warm hand-off with receiving facility, whether another Axiom facility or not.\nOutreach and build relationships with representatives of Axiom’s referral partners, presenting self professionally.\nAssist with client intake process as needed, include property inventory, client orientation, and EMR onboarding.\nAct as front-desk receptionist when needed by greeting visitors, answering incoming calls, and directing to facility staff as needed.\nPerforms other duties as assigned by management.\nWho is Axiom Care?\nFounded in 2012, Axiom Care is a Phoenix-based behavioral health organization that aims to ensure every Arizonan has access to compassionate, effective substance use treatment. Basic computer navigation skills. Ability to type at least 30 words per minutes.\nProfessional and/or personal experience with substance abuse treatment is highly preferred.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret emails, policies, letters, procedures, etc.\nAbility to operate 15-passenger van\nAbility to work at least 1 weekend day/night shift in their scheduled work week\nHigh level of patience\nEducation and Experience\nMinimum of an HS Diploma or equivalent is required\n1-year behavioral health experience OR personal or professional experience with substance abuse treatment required.\nMust have a valid AZ Driver's license with a 39-month clear MVR.\n CPR/First Aid certification required \nPhysical Requirements:\n· Physically able to drive a vehicle for prolonged periods of time.\n· Must be able to lift and move luggage weighing up to 50 pounds.\nDisclaimer\nThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
