POSITION SUMMARY

Since Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy Desktop Support Specialist, to provide enterprise-level desktop support for a high-volume user environment supporting aerospace operations. This position will act as the primary IT support contact ensuring minimal downtime for mission-critical systems.

Maintain and support workstations, laptops, peripherals, and specialized engineering systems.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver on-site and remote support for 1,000+ users across multiple locations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain desktop systems using enterprise tools (Intune, Azure, JAMF).
• Support CAD engineers (SolidWorks), standard users, and executive staff.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and device provisioning lifecycle.
• Maintain IT inventory, asset tracking, and lifecycle management.
• Document incidents, create SOPs, and contribute to knowledge base improvements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams for escalations.
• Provide white-glove VIP support for executives and leadership.
• Participate in IT projects such as hardware refreshes, migrations, and deployments.
• Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership
• Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle
• Perform additional job duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, hardware troubleshooting, and networking basics.
• Experience with enterprise ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow).
• Ability to manage high ticket volume while maintaining SLA performance
• CompTIA A+ or similar certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure, JAMF, O365.
• Experience supporting CAD/engineering environments.
• Knowledge of IT asset management and lifecycle processes.
• Track record of making things happen in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• Uses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges
• Demonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high-quality results

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements

• This position may require access to export controlled technical data or technology subject to NASA regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). In accordance with U.S. export control laws, final candidates may be required to undergo additional export control screening to determine eligibility for access. Meeting these requirements is a condition of employment.
