Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic Project Manager, Information Technology who is fueled by high accountability, execution horsepower, and driven to understand our world, science/technology, and life itself, for the benefit of all on Earth and beyond.\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nSince Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy Project Manager, Information Technology to plan, execute, and deliver enterprise IT and digital transformation initiatives that support Axiom Space’s mission of building the world’s first commercial space station. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this position will partner closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), IT, engineering, and corporate business stakeholders to manage the full project lifecycle for technology systems, infrastructure, and software initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong Agile/Scrum fluency alongside waterfall and hybrid delivery experience, change management expertise, hands-on experience with the Atlassian toolset, and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear project plans, timelines, and deliverables. This role requires excellent stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and communication skills to keep high-visibility IT projects on schedule and aligned with business objectives.\nKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nLeads the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise IT projects, including infrastructure, systems integration, and software initiatives, and partners with the CISO on cybersecurity initiatives\nDefines project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with IT leadership and business stakeholders\nDevelops and maintains detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations across concurrent IT initiatives\nApplies Agile, waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies, as appropriate to each initiative, throughout the project lifecycle\nUtilizes the Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence) to manage backlogs, sprint cadences, release schedules, dashboards, and reporting\nLeads Agile/Scrum ceremonies for IT delivery teams, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and sprint reviews\nPlans and coordinates change management for IT initiatives, including change and release approvals, stakeholder communications, training, and user adoption\nCoordinates cross-functionally with IT, security, engineering, and corporate departments to ensure successful, on-time project delivery\nPartners with the CISO to ensure IT projects meet data security, export control, and corporate governance requirements, building security and compliance reviews into project plans\nIdentifies, tracks, and mitigates project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating appropriately to leadership\nSupports coordination with vendors and third parties for IT systems, software licensing, and technology procurement, working with the Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations, the Director of Information Systems, and the CISO, who own vendor selection and contract negotiation within their areas\nCommunicates project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership\nPerform additional job duties as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
