Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic Axiom Station Chief Systems Engineer who is fueled by high accountability, execution horsepower, and driven to understand our world, science/technology, and life itself, for the benefit of all on Earth and beyond.\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nSince Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy Axiom Station Chief Systems Engineer who will be responsible for overall implementation of Systems Engineering towards the successful implementation of major elements of Axiom Station.\nKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nEnd-to-end, cradle-to-grave leadership of the Systems Engineering implementation for Axiom Space Station Systems, including the functional areas of\n\nConcept Definition\n\nTechnical Requirements and Requirements Management\n\nArchitectures and Design\n\nImplementation and Integration and Interface Management\n\nVerification and Validation - planning through closure\n\nTransition, O&M, Sustainment, through Disposal\n\nLife Cycle/Milestone Management\n\nDecision Analysis/System Performance Analysis\n\nConfiguration and Data Management\n\nRisk Management\n\nResponsible for Axiom Station Systems development by providing down-and-in system and subsystem-level support and integration, ranging from system/system of systems to module to subsystem to component.\n\nLead Axiom Station concept definition including architecture definition, functional analyses, and product breakdown structures.\n\nLead overall technical requirements development, validation, and management.\n\nLead external and internal integration, including interface definition, control, risk reduction, and V&V.\n\nResponsible for definition, planning, coordination and closure for verification and validation of Axiom Station requirements.\n\nDefine and maintain System and Subsystem integrated performance assessments.\n\nDefine and lead variance/waiver process\n\nDefine and oversee Configuration, Data, and Risk management processes\n\nPerform other systems engineering tasks as necessary.\n\nCommunicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.\n\nImplementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nPerform additional job duties as assigned\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) in an engineering (aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related discipline).\n\nA minimum of 15+ years systems engineering experience including activities across the lifecycle (e.g., concepts, requirements, design support, integration, V&V) equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nExperience in the full life cycle from concept, to planning, coordination, execution, and close-out activities.\n\nExperience with spaceflight programs, with related experience in space payload, spacecraft, or space vehicle (prefer specifically NASA human spaceflight programs.)\n\nA strong attention to detail while appreciating the bigger picture of complex and ambitious projects.\n\nExcellent writing and presentation skills with experience communicating to senior decisionmakers and technical audiences.\n\nExperience in Start-up organizations a plus\n\nINCOSE CSEP preferred\n\nTrack record of making things happen in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.\n\nUses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges.\n\nDemonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high-quality results.\n\nCore Skills\nPassion for space and the mission\n\nEntrepreneurial, growth mindset\n\nHigh EQ and ability to collaborate within teams and cross-functionally\n\nTech-solutioning in using systems and tools to move smarter and faster\n\nCore Competencies:\nEmbody our core values of leadership, innovation, and teamwork.
