Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic System Performance Engineer who is fueled by high accountability, execution horsepower, and driven to understand our world, science/technology, and life itself, for the benefit of all on Earth and beyond.\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nSince Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy experienced System Performance Engineer to support the EVA SE&I team. The System Performance Analyst will be responsible for assessing, tracking, and reporting overall system performance of the EVA spacesuit.\nKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nImplement integrated system performance analysis metrics for the Axiom EVA program.\n\nIdentify and track key technical performance metrics that demonstrate the Axiom space suit’s performance, such as system mass and power consumption.\n\nContribute to management, organization, and analysis of test data to inform system metrics.\n\nDevelop and implement tooling to perform analysis of test data\n\nDevelop and implement mechanisms for maturing these metrics as system fidelity increases.\n\nCollaborate across the organization to ensure system metrics are up to date, and coordinate integration of analysis products for NASA delivery.\n\nCreate and maintain system performance dashboards and other data visualization tools.\n\nCommunicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.\n\nImplementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nPerform additional job duties as assigned\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation & Experience\nExperience presenting technical data to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nExperience with using python, and SQL to manage, organize, and query large volumes of data.\n\nExperience with using python to develop tooling for performing analysis\n\nExperience performing engineering analyses, including but not limited to mass analysis, consumables analysis, thermal analysis, power systems analysis, etc.\n\nExperience in systems engineering and space flight system development\n\nExperience leading design trades and performance assessments\n\nTrack record of making things happen in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.\n\nUses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges.\n\nDemonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high-quality results.\n\nLevel II\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field (ABET-accredited preferred), required across all levels.\n\n2-6 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nLevel III\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field (ABET-accredited preferred), required across all levels.\n\n4-9 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nLevel IV\nMaster's Degree or Ph.D. in Engineering, preferred for Levels II-V and strongly preferred for Levels VI-VII.\n\n7-12 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nLevel V\nMaster's Degree or Ph.D. in Engineering, preferred for Levels II-V and strongly preferred for Levels VI-VII.\n\n10-16 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nCore Skills\nPassion for space and the mission\n\nEntrepreneurial, growth mindset\n\nHigh EQ and ability to collaborate within teams and cross-functionally\n\nTech-solutioning in using systems and tools to move smarter and faster\n\nCore Competencies:\nEmbody our core values of leadership, innovation, and teamwork.
