hands-on Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety compliance across multiple active construction jobsites.\nThis is a field-based position requiring regular travel between project locations to conduct safety inspections, identify potential hazards, enforce safety policies, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, applicable local ordinances, and company safety standards.\nThe Safety Manager will be responsible for maintaining site-specific safety manuals and required documentation for each project, ensuring that all safety programs remain current and compliant.\nThe ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and confident in enforcing safety standards while working collaboratively with project superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel.\nKey Responsibilities\nField Safety Inspections & Compliance\nTravel regularly between multiple active construction sites to monitor and enforce safety compliance.\nConduct routine and unannounced jobsite safety inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and potential violations.\nEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations, applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements, and company policies.\nMonitor proper use of PPE, fall protection, scaffolding, ladders, excavation safety, equipment operation, and other construction safety requirements.\nWork directly with project superintendents and subcontractors to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions.\nDocument safety violations, corrective actions, and follow-up inspections.\nJobsite Safety Manuals & Documentation\nDevelop, organize, maintain, and regularly update a site-specific safety manual for each active construction project.\nEnsure all jobsite safety manuals contain required policies, emergency procedures, safety plans, and applicable regulatory documentation.\nMaintain Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), safety inspection reports, training records, and other required documentation.\nEnsure safety manuals and required records are readily accessible at each jobsite.\nMonitor documentation for compliance with company policies, project requirements, and applicable regulations.\nCoordinate with project superintendents to ensure all required safety documentation remains accurate and up to date.\nSafety Enforcement & Stop-Work Authority\nExercise full authority to immediately stop work when unsafe conditions, hazardous activities, or serious safety violations are identified.\nRequire appropriate corrective actions before authorizing affected work to resume.\nCommunicate stop-work decisions, safety violations, and corrective action requirements to project superintendents and company management.\nEnsure subcontractors and field personnel comply with established safety procedures and corrective directives.\nPromote accountability and consistent enforcement of safety standards across all jobsites.\nTraining, Reporting & Incident Management\nConduct jobsite safety orientations, toolbox talks, and employee safety training as needed.\nInvestigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, including preparing reports and recommending preventative measures.\nMaintain accurate safety inspection logs, incident reports, and corrective action records.\nAssist with OSHA inspections, regulatory visits, and insurance-related safety audits.\nProvide regular updates to company management regarding jobsite safety performance, deficiencies, and corrective actions.\nQualifications\nRequired:\nMinimum 3-5 years of construction safety experience, preferably in commercial construction.\nOSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.\nStrong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and applicable safety regulations.\nExperience conducting construction safety inspections and identifying workplace hazards.\nExperience maintaining site-specific safety manuals, safety plans, and compliance documentation.\nAbility to independently oversee safety responsibilities across multiple active construction projects.\nStrong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.\nConfidence and professionalism when enforcing safety requirements and issuing stop-work directives.\nValid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly between jobsites.\nAbility to work outdoors, navigate active construction sites, and perform physical jobsite inspections.\nPreferred:\nOSHA certification.\nExperience working for a commercial general contractor.\nFamiliarity with Procore or similar construction management software.\nFirst Aid/CPR/AED certification.\nExperience developing and implementing site-specific safety programs.\nIdeal Candidate\nWe are looking for a Safety Manager who takes a hands-on,
