You will turn business needs into working, well-tested software that keeps our core financial systems accurate and dependable. Your success is measured by the quality, reliability, and timely delivery of the solutions you create and the value they deliver to the business.\nWhat will you do in this role?\nDesign, build, and test custom finance application components, taking ownership of your work from requirements through to deployment.\nTranslate business requirements and functional specifications into working, well-documented code.\nDevelop and support integrations that move data reliably between our Finance systems and third-party applications.\nCarry out unit, system, and integration testing to make sure solutions perform as expected before release.\nCoordinate deployments with the Application Maintenance team and follow release management protocols to keep changes controlled and compliant.\nInvestigate and resolve issues, working under your own initiative while drawing on support from other developers and application delivery leads.\nReport on the status, risks, and issues of your key activities to the Agile team scrum master in a clear and timely way.\nIdentify and suggest improvements to processes, standards, and ways of working.\nYou will work as part of an Agile team, contributing to backlog refinement, estimation, sprint review and delivery, while partnering closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master and other team members to deliver business value.\nCollaborate with business Product Owners to deliver value and other teams such as architecture, data governance, and infrastructure to ensure consistent end-to-end solutions.\nYou may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.\nAbout You:\nWe encourage you to bring your own experience and expertise to the table, so while there are some qualifications and experiences we need you to have, we are open to discussing how your individual knowledge might lend itself to fulfilling this role and help us achieve our goals.\nWhat you need to have:\n3+ years of experience working with Oracle EBS Financial applications.\nHands-on experience developing and enhancing custom solutions within Oracle E-Business Suite Financials.\nAble to write and tune complex SQL and develop robust PL/SQL to build and correct application logic and data.\nAble to build and support interfaces and integrations between Oracle E-Business Suite and third-party applications.\nExperience with OBIEE and ODI development required\nPractical experience across core Finance modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable, with the willingness to broaden your expertise across the wider Oracle Financials landscape.\nAble to explain technical concepts clearly, in writing and in conversation, to both technical and non-technical colleagues.\nAble to analyze problems methodically and troubleshoot issues through to resolution.\nAble to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate progress and challenges transparently.\nWhat we prefer you to have:\nA Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or an equivalent field, or comparable practical experience.\nExperience working directly with business end users to gather requirements and validate solutions.\nExperience with development of Hyperion Essbase and Smartview\nExperience with HFM, HTP and DRM an advantage\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum\nExperience using Azure DevOps or similar Agile work management platforms for backlog and delivery tracking\nAble to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.\nRole Factors:\nIn this role, you will typically be required to:\nBe in the office a minimum of 3 days per week in our Halifax office to support team collaboration and engagement.\nWork standard business hours, with occasional flexibility to coordinate deployments or support releases outside core hours.\nWhat we offer:\nYou will be eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package which includes medical plans for you and your family, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid annual leave, and much more.\nFor this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $85,000-$105,000 CAD (Halifax, Nova Scotia).
