The team partners with Finance, Legal, HR, Underwriting, Operations, and external advisors to ensure accurate reporting and strong governance. The Senior Tax Associate plays a key role in delivering timely and reliable tax outcomes.\nHow does this role contribute to our collective success?\nThis role strengthens AXIS’ global tax function by supporting accurate tax reporting, maintaining compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and improving processes that support financial integrity. The Senior Tax Associate helps ensure AXIS meets regulatory requirements while supporting business decisions with clear and reliable tax insights.\nWhat will you be doing in this role?\nSupporting day-to-day tax activities for the U.S., Canada, and Bermuda\n\nAssisting with quarterly GAAP and STAT tax provisions under ASC 740 and SSAP 101\n\nPartnering with international tax teams to align global provisions with U.S. GAAP\n\nHelping consolidate global tax calculations for management reporting\n\nSupporting internal and external reporting, including Board materials and annual tax footnotes\n\nCoordinating compliance activities across U.S., Canadian, and Bermuda tax regimes\n\nSupporting withholding tax documentation, including residency certificates and FATCA\n\nPerforming tax research to interpret authoritative guidance\n\nResponding to audits and notices across multiple jurisdictions\n\nMaintaining accurate process documentation and contributing to internal training\n\nYou may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.\nAbout you:\nWe encourage you to bring your own experience and expertise to the table, so while there are some qualifications and experiences, we need you to have, we are open to discussing how your individual knowledge might lend itself to fulfilling this role and help us achieve our goals.\nWhat we’re looking for from you:\nPossess a CPA or Tax LLM\n\nBring at least three years of tax experience in public accounting or a multinational company with extensive experience with ASC 740, account reconciliation, tax compliance and return-to-provision analysis\n\nDemonstrate strong technical tax knowledge across U.S. federal, state, and indirect taxes\n\nDemonstrate familiarity with BEAT, Pillar II and other international tax concepts\n\nApply knowledge of SOX 404 requirements\n\nUse advanced Microsoft Office skills\n\nCommunicate clearly and build strong relationships across teams\n\nManage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment\n\nShow strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail\n\nRole factors:\nIn this role, you will typically be required to:\nBe in the office 3 days per week\n\nTravel within the U.S. and internationally as needed\n\nWhat we offer:\nYou will be eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package which includes medical plans for you and your family, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid annual leave, and much more.\nFor this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $90,000 to $110,000.
