Technology and AI are important enablers of this transformation, creating opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, support business growth, and enhance customer outcomes.\nThe Technology & AI Strategy Lead is responsible for shaping, maintaining, and driving execution of the enterprise technology and AI agenda in partnership with business, technology, data, risk, and functional leaders. The role owns the integrated strategic agenda, enterprise-level recommendations, strategic coherence, value framework, and executive decision support. It does not own delivery of individual products or programs; delivery remains with the relevant business and technology owners, and business leaders remain accountable for outcomes, adoption, and benefit realization.\nThe role provides independent analysis, subject matter expertise, and strategic recommendations that help leadership evaluate technology and AI opportunities, risks, and trade-offs. Success requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate complex technology concepts into practical business implications and measurable outcomes.\n________________________________________\n\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnology & AI Strategy\nSupport the development and refinement of the technology and AI strategy aligned with enterprise and business objectives.\nPartner with business and functional leaders to identify opportunities where technology and AI can improve business performance, operational effectiveness, and customer outcomes.\nAnalyze emerging technology and AI trends, market developments, and vendor capabilities to inform strategic recommendations.\nAssess opportunities to improve engineering effectiveness, delivery consistency, automation, and modernization efforts.\nConsider responsible AI, data governance, cybersecurity, privacy, operational resilience, and regulatory requirements when developing recommendations and strategic assessments.\nPortfolio Prioritization & Strategic Coherence \n\nSupport the development and maintenance of technology and AI roadmaps aligned to business objectives and transformation priorities.\nEvaluate proposed initiatives and business cases against strategic goals, resource capacity, risk considerations, and organizational readiness.\nIdentify dependencies, opportunities for alignment, and potential conflicts across initiatives and programs.\nDevelop analysis and recommendations to support planning, prioritization, and investment discussions.\nContribute strategic insights that help leaders evaluate business needs, risks, costs, and expected value.\nExecution Discipline & Value Realization \n\nDevelop and challenge value frameworks to evaluate expected business value and measure outcomes from technology and AI initiatives.\nAnalyze initiative progress, adoption trends, risks, and dependencies and provide insights to stakeholders, included any needed course corrections.\nIdentify lessons learned and opportunities to scale successful practices and capabilities.\nRefresh the enterprise roadmap and investment recommendations based on delivery evidence, realized outcomes, emerging risks, and organizational learning.\nPrepare strategic analyses, presentations, and recommendations for executive team.\nStakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement\n\nDevelop strategies to drive adoption of technology and AI-enabled capabilities across the enterprise.\nBuild collaborative relationships across business, technology, data, finance, risk, and transformation teams.\nFacilitate workshops, planning sessions, and stakeholder discussions related to technology and AI priorities.\nDevelop clear, business-focused communications and presentations that help leaders understand strategic opportunities and implications.\nSupport initiatives that improve organizational understanding and adoption of technology and AI capabilities.\nIdentify barriers to adoption and recommend actions that support successful organizational change.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\n\nSupport cross-functional strategic initiatives through influence, coordination, and collaboration.\nServe as a trusted advisor on technology and AI strategy-related matters.\nContribute subject matter expertise and analysis to governance and planning discussions.\nHelp stakeholders evaluate opportunities, risks, implementation considerations, and long-term implications of strategic initiatives. _______________________________________\nAbout You\n\nSignificant experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, AI enablement, business transformation, management consulting, or a related field.\nStrong understanding of technology, data, and AI concepts and their application to business problems.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical, value-focused recommendations.\nExperience evaluating business cases and connecting technology investments to business outcomes.\nStrong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Proven success influencing stakeholders and building alignment across matrixed organizations.\nExcellent communication, facilitation, storytelling, and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior leaders.\nWorking knowledge of responsible AI, data governance, cybersecurity, privacy, operational resilience, and regulatory considerations.\nAbility to balance strategic thinking with practical execution. Insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or other regulated-industry experience preferred.\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred. ________________________________________\nRole Factors\n\nRequires close partnership with business, technology, transformation, risk, and functional teams.\nSuccess depends on expertise, influence, relationship building, strategic judgment, and the ability to navigate complex business challenges.\nRegular participation in planning sessions, strategy reviews, governance forums, and leadership communications.\nOperates within established enterprise governance frameworks and provides recommendations and guidance to support decision making.\nWorks independently on complex assignments requiring assessment of multiple business, technology, operational, and risk considerations.\nPlanning horizon is primarily annual and aligned with strategic planning and investment cycles.\nFor this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $250,000 to $275,000 (NY). Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.\nIn addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
