The role would involve underwriting a wide range of Property delegated arrangements, auto follow and algorithmic business.\nThe Underwriter will act within established guidelines to market, analyse, review, evaluate and monitor accounts. The individual will be responsible for exercising judgement and oversight in the management of underwriting activities. The individual should have strong market and technical knowledge within the Property class(es) and associated DA landscape.\nWhat will you do in this role?\nUnderwrite binder business within agreed authority and support referral underwriting.\nTake ownership of Binding Authority Agreements, ensuring performance aligns with business objectives.\nLiaise with Brokers and Coverholders in support of the Portfolio\nConduct regular portfolio reviews and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\nCollaborate with the Delegated Authority Management, Conduct Risk, Compliance and Operations teams to ensure delegated authority standards are met.\nCommunicate underwriting, audit, and conduct risk issues to the Unit Head.\nMonitor and report emerging risks or control failures using formal channels.\nEnsure and oversee the accurate data entry and maintenance of underwriting systems and binder records.\nCoordinate delegated authority processes and support internal/external audits.\nContinue to develop and update product and underwriting knowledge.\nParticipate in projects or perform other related work as required.\nYou may also be required to take on need to have:\nKnowledge and technical experience writing Property classes\nFull understanding of delegated underwriting policy and procedures.\nFamiliarity with FCA, PRA, and Lloyd’s compliance requirements.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and underwriting systems (Examples being PowerBI, Riskwrite, IRIS, Swordfish, Desktop etc).\nAbility to analyse data and present insights clearly and appropriately.\nFamiliarity of portfolio management and exposure control.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively, managing time effectively.\nStrong organisational and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to build trust and communicate effectively across stakeholders.\nExceptional attention to detail and written communication skills.\nAbility to
