In this role, you’ll help grow sales through the distribution channel, promote Axis products and solutions, and strengthen collaboration between Axis, our distribution partner, and local integrators.\nYou’ll support day-to-day account activities and sales enablement programs while building your knowledge of the distribution model and the security industry. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, delivering presentations and training, and connecting sales teams to new opportunities.\nIdeal candidate would be located in Chicago, Illinois or reside near a major US airport.\nWhat you’ll do\nBuild relationships with Axis teams, the assigned distributor, and its network.\nSupport distributor sales activities, AEC events, and local integrator engagement.\nDeliver product training, demonstrations, presentations, and lunch-and-learns on IP video and Axis solutions.\nConnect Axis regional sales teams with distributor sales teams to share pipeline updates and identify opportunities.\nRespond to customer inquiries and help with product recommendations and solution comparisons.\nSupport distributor marketing plans and dedicated Axis resources, tracking results where applicable.\nMonitor competitors and share relevant market insights with sales and management.\nCoordinate meetings between Axis Business Area Directors and Wesco Distribution Regional Directors.\nWork with internal teams to implement sales enablement programs, resolve issues, and improve account processes.\nTake on other related duties as assigned.\n.\nWhat you’ll bring\nStrong sales planning and execution skills.\nClear, confident communication and presentation skills.\nThe ability to learn technical product information and explain it to different audiences.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.\nStrong follow-through, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nA customer-focused approach and a talent for building productive relationships.\nBusiness acumen, strategic thinking, adaptability, teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to continued learning.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.\nAt least two years of related work experience. Experience in outside field sales-especially in IT or security-is preferred.\nHelpful experience\nThese qualifications are valued but not required:\nAn established network in relevant industries.\nFive or more years of experience with distribution channels and models.\nFamiliarity with IP video or physical security technology.\nPhysical demands\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
