You will own projects from planning through delivery, help teams turn complex ideas into practical plans, and coordinate education and technology-related work. We welcome strong generalist Project Managers who are eager to learn the education domain. Success in this role calls for initiative, thoughtful problem-solving, reliable follow-through, and collaborative communication.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead assigned projects end to end, managing schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and status reporting.\n\nCoordinate the development and delivery of educational programs, resources, learning platforms, and related operational activities.\n\nPartner with instructional designers and technical teams to support course and content development, coordinate requirements, testing, releases, and implementation, and facilitate the successful adoption of educational resources and technologies.\n\nBuild strong cross-functional relationships, facilitate communication, and drive decisions and action items to completion.\n\nIdentify and track risks and issues; resolve challenges independently when appropriate or bring leadership a clear assessment and recommended approach.\n\nIdentify opportunities to use AI in project and business workflows, and determine when a chatbot, custom GPT, Claude Skill, or other reusable AI workflow is appropriate; configure or help develop these tools and assess their outputs for accuracy and usefulness.\n\nTake initiative in ambiguous situations, producing thoughtful first drafts, plans, and recommendations for review.\n\nImprove workflows, documentation, tracking, and project visibility while incorporating feedback and growing in the role.\n\nWhat You Bring\nBachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.\n\n3+ years of relevant project management experience, including ownership of project plans, timelines, deliverables, and coordination across teams.\n\nDemonstrated initiative, accountability, and follow-through, with the ability to independently advance work and meet commitments.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability.\n\nDemonstrated proficiency with generative AI platforms, including OpenAI and Anthropic; ability to design, test, and refine effective prompts and apply appropriate human review and verification to AI-generated outputs.\n\nAbility to navigate ambiguity, develop thoughtful recommendations and work products, and seek guidance when appropriate.\n\nExperience collaborating effectively with technical and nontechnical teams and managing competing priorities.\n\nAbility to quickly learn and apply new technologies, platforms, and systems.\n\nExperience using Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or comparable project management and collaboration tools.\n\nPreferred Experience\nPMP, CAPM, Agile, Scrum, or comparable project management certification.\n\nExperience supporting NIH-funded programs, federal contracts, biomedical research, or scientific initiatives.\n\nExperience collaborating with software development or technical teams, including familiarity with the software development lifecycle.\n\nExperience supporting education, training, instructional design, or capacity-building programs.\n\nExperience with learning management systems, educational technology, or other technology-enabled learning platforms.\n\nTeaching, training facilitation, or instructional experience.\n\nExperience implementing new systems, improving workflows, or supporting technology adoption.\n\nDisclaimer: The above description is meant to illustrate the general nature of work and level of effort being performed by individuals assigned to this position or job description.
