This role leads daily facility operations involving HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and building management systems that support temperature-controlled storage and distribution of biologic products. The position ensures strict adherence to GMP, safety, and quality standards while minimizing operational disruptions that could impact product integrity.\nRequirements of the Facilities & Maintenance Technician \nMinimum Education Required: High school diploma / GED\nAble to work 3rd shift (11pm - 730am, Sunday night - Friday morning)\nRelated Experience: 0-2 years of relevant facilities maintenance experience\nPreferred Qualifications: Experience with HVAC, Refrigeration and electrical systems\nStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills\nAbility to manage system modifications and equipment changes\nExperience working in GMP / Regulated industries\nCertified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT)\nRelevant certifications (EPA 608, HVAC, Electrical License)\nResponsibilities of the Facilities & Maintenance Technician \nThe specific duties of the Facilities & Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to:\nLead maintenance and reliability of critical facility systems including HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical infrastructure.\nExecute and manage preventive maintenance programs in compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.\nActively oversee and participate in any modification of facility equipment, furniture, layout etc.\nManage contractors and vendors ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and site hazards.\nRespond to the resolution of facility emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and product integrity.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and utilize site systems and applications for tracking and reporting.\nWork in a collaborative team environment and interact with other functional groups such as engineering, quality, regulatory and operations.\nOther duties as assigned.\nPhysical Requirements\nThe work is medium work which requires exerting up to 30 pounds of force and occasionally exerting up to 60 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Additionally, the work requires the following: mental acuity, visual acuity, walking, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, hearing, and typing.\nWorking & Environmental Conditions\nWork involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe workplace practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations. Axogen facilities include controlled environment where gowning is required and facilities that are controlled by HVAC.
