You will lead a team responsible for mission-critical embedded software, maintain a clear architectural vision for your domain, develop engineers and technical leaders, drive predictable execution and operational excellence, and partner closely with Product and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.\nYou will be accountable for the end-to-end success of your team’s area, including delivery, software quality, reliability, security, compliance, operational health, adoption, and long-term maintainability. You will make clear trade-offs across customer value, scope, schedule, technical debt, engineering cost, and long-term product health.\nWhat You’ll Do\nWork Location: This role is based out of our Ho Chi Minh City office and follows a hybrid schedule: onsite Tuesday through Friday and remote on Mondays, unless an approved accommodation applies. We place a high value on in-person collaboration and building a strong in-office culture.\nReports To: Senior Engineering Manager / Engineering Director\nDirect Reports: Roughly 6 to start, with expectations to scale to 8+ after 6 months\nOwn the end-to-end success of the team’s product area, including delivery, quality, reliability, security, compliance, operational health, adoption, cost, and customer outcomes.\nPartner with Product Management to connect engineering priorities to customer and business outcomes and make clear trade-offs across scope, schedule, quality, technical debt, cost, and long-term maintainability.\nMaintain a clear architectural vision for the team’s domain and ensure high-quality technical decisions through architecture, design, code, test, and operational reviews.\nOwn execution planning, capacity, staffing, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments; proactively surface and manage trade-offs when plans change.\nManage escalations within the team’s domain and drive cross-team dependencies to resolution across Firmware, Hardware, Cloud, Mobile, QE, Security, Manufacturing, and Product.\nEstablish and monitor engineering and operational metrics and drive measurable improvements in delivery predictability, quality, reliability, and engineering effectiveness.\nDrive strong operational practices, including release readiness, incident response, root-cause analysis, retrospectives, and proactive risk reduction.\nUse AI-assisted engineering tools as part of your standard workflow and drive effective AI adoption across the team while maintaining a high quality bar.\nBuild and develop a high-performing team through hiring, onboarding, clear expectations, feedback, career development, performance management, and retention of top performers.\nCreate a culture of candor, accountability, continuous learning, and strong team engagement.\nWhat You Bring\n3+ years of experience leading engineering teams, with strong people-management skills across hiring, coaching, career development, performance management, and retention.\n7+ years of experience in Firmware / Embedded Engineering or related systems software, with products shipped to customers.\nStrong technical judgment in embedded or systems software, with the ability to evaluate architecture, implementation, quality, reliability, and engineering trade-offs.\n5+ years of professional software development experience in C/C++, Go, Python, and/or another systems programming language.\nDemonstrated experience managing complex delivery, including planning, prioritization, staffing, dependencies, risk management, and recovery when commitments are at risk.\nStrong product and business judgment, with the ability to make trade-offs across customer value, scope, schedule, technical quality, cost, and long-term maintainability.\nHands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows, with the ability to evaluate their effectiveness and drive adoption across an engineering team.\nNice to have experience leading teams where engineers own software quality end to end, including automated testing, design-for-testability, CI quality gates, defect prevention, release readiness, and production reliability.\nBenefits that Benefit You\nMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance \nRobust Paid Time Off policy \nBonuses \nLunch allowance \nCell phone stipend \nFree LinkedIn Learning account or Udemy account\nAccess to 24/7 online emotional and mental support \nGym membership \nFree parking \nStocked fridges and pantries - free coffee, cold beverages, snacks \nAnnual Company Outing Trip \nMonthly team social activities\nDon’t meet every single requirement?
