Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.\nJob Title: Field Deployment Engineer\nLocation: Canada\nTravel expectations: 80% travel\nYour Impact\nAs a Field Deployment Engineer, you will be a vital team member responsible for leading the deployment of network, hardware, and software solutions for Axon's Fleet systems. This post-sale, customer-facing, front-line role requires efficiency in deployment, management of third-party installations, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience and continued support.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead and coordinate Fleet installations, ensuring efficiency and a positive customer experience.\nKeep 3rd party installers and Axon customers updated on installation status through daily reports and stand-up meetings.\nEnsure regular and reliable attendance, demonstrating commitment to work responsibilities.\nDeploy hardware and software solutions in a dynamic environment with minimal assistance.\nExhibit flexibility to undertake additional projects and adapt to evolving priorities.\nProvide guidance to customers on optimal hardware placement, tailoring solutions to enhance workflows and ensure compliant data collection.\nDevelop accurate installation diagrams and thorough documentation for implemented solutions.\nProvide administrative support for vendor setup, clearances, tracking, and maintenance of work orders\nEngage with key technology decision-makers post-sale.\nConduct training sessions for both technical and non-technical staff on the use of Axon Fleet and Interview solutions.\nTrain customer technical and non-technical staff and 12V low-voltage sub-contractors on proper installation and use of Axon hardware and software components.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nTechnical Acumen:\nStrong experience with IP networking and connected devices, including configuration and troubleshooting across Layer 2, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless environments.\nAbility to quickly identify and resolve network connectivity issues involving routers, modems, gateways, access points, and edge devices.\nSolid understanding of core networking principles, including switching, routing, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and physical layer infrastructure.\nExperience with remote and mobile networking technologies, such as Cradlepoint or similar solutions, is highly valued.\nFamiliarity with data communications, WAN access methods, wireless technologies, and local network infrastructure in distributed or field-based environments.\nStrong troubleshooting skills across network-connected hardware and communications systems.\nExposure to low-voltage / 12V electrical systems is an asset, including basic wiring, DC circuit fundamentals, relays, fuses, and power distribution.\nFamiliarity with vehicle electrical or communication systems such as CAN bus, LIN bus, auxiliary battery systems, lighting, or siren integrations is considered a nice to have.\nAbility to read wiring diagrams and support equipment installation or fault isolation is beneficial.\nOther Qualifications:\nExperience with law enforcement agencies is highly valued.\nAbility to work safely and skilfully with hand tools.\nProven team leadership skills, supporting customers and third parties to achieve objectives.\nPrevious experience in leading a team or contractors on multiple projects with successful outcomes.\nExceptional communication skills, professionalism, and ability to work both within a team and independently.\nStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.\nDesire to work with a team or visit clients in person weekly.
