We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. We believe that connection fuels innovation, and our in-office culture is designed to foster meaningful teamwork, mentorship, and shared success.\nReport to: Software engineering manager\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and deploy new features for Axon’s camera systems in in a secure, privacy preserving way.\nCoordinate across teams on a breadth of platforms including desktop, mobile applications, and backend services.\nSet a high technical bar for the team through code and architecture design reviews.\nParticipate in technical issues troubleshooting and solving of the team.\nResolve ambiguity in product requirements potentially resolve conflicting requirements.\nMentor and coach junior engineers.\nWhat you bring\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or an equivalent technical field.\n6+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.\nProficiency in C/C++, Golang, and other relevant programming languages.\nStrong understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, runtime analysis, object-oriented design, and code quality verification.\nExperience with writing unit test, integration and/or system level tests\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in embedded software development.\nProven experience with Embedded Linux development.\nSolid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, TLS/SSL, etc.) with hands-on experience in WiFi, LTE, and GPS technologies.\nQuick to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.\nStrong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).\nReferred\nMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity), source code repositories (e.g., Git), and Jira.\nKnowledge of security in computing and best practices.\nExperience with Yocto and embedded Linux-based build systems.\nKnowledge of Cloud services\nAgile Software Development Lifecycle methodology.\nCompensation and Benefits\nMedical and Dental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nRobust Paid Time Off policy\nBonuses\nLunch allowance\nCell phone stipend\nFree LinkedIn Learning and Udemy account\nAccess to 24/7 online emotional and mental support\nGym membership\nFree parking\nStocked fridges and pantries - free coffee, cold beverages, snacks\nAnnual Company Outing Trip\nMonthly team social activities\nDon’t meet every single requirement?
