You care deeply about system stability, clear documentation, and creating tools that improve the developer experience.\nLocation: This role is based out of our Seattle office and follows a hybrid schedule. You will:\nBuild robust, easy-to-use kubernetes platforms and tools that enable engineering teams to provision and operate services rapidly, consistently, and securely.\nExemplify cloud-native site reliability best practices.\nWrite code that is performant, maintainable, clear, and concise.\nEmploy strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug problems in cloud-native distributed systems.\nEmploy technical project management skills, with the ability to properly scope, plan, and define work to meet deadlines.\nInfluence and educate the engineering organization to adopt new and improved architectural patterns.\nProvide robust documentation for use by engineers to promote self-service.\nContinually seek improvement within the entire platform org for improved reliability, operability, and cost efficiency\nTake calculated risks, champion new ideas, and cultivate your craft.\nWhat You Bring\n5+ years of applicable experience in Platform engineering, and container orchestration\nUnited States Citizen - able to gain CJIS clearance for full US production access\nExperience building platforms on either Azure or AWS (preferably both)\nBuilding, operating, and innovating clustering solutions for Kubernetes platforms like AKS, EKS, or similar in production at scale\nExperience with programming languages such as Python, Go, C#, Java, and others.\nBuilding, operating, and managing infrastructure and systems that are highly revenue, security, and/or health and life-safety critical.\nExperience utilizing CI/CD platforms to automate provisioning infrastructure, software builds, tests, and releases.\nExperience using observability tools such as APM, logging, and metrics to assist with debugging issues.\nExperience using Infrastructure as Code tools for provisioning flexible and testible modules such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar.\nExperience designing tooling to simplify the operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems.\nEmpathy to support the needs of software engineers.\nBenefits that Benefit You\nCompetitive salary and 401k with employer match\nDiscretionary time off\nPaid parental leave for all\nMedical, Dental, Vision plans\nFitness Programs\nEmotional & Development Programs\nAnd yes, we have snacks in our offices\nBenefits listed herein may vary depending on the nature of your employment and the location where you work.\nAxon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards.
