This role demands deep platform expertise, a strong curiosity about underlying business processes, and the ability to bridge technical execution with business stakeholder needs. You will work hands-on across both OutSystems 11 (O11) and OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC), guiding a team of developers, setting coding and architecture standards, and ensuring delivery meets the security, performance, and compliance standards required in a regulated financial services environment.RESPONSIBILITIES:\nTechnical Design & Architecture\nLead the design and architecture of OutSystems applications using the 4-Layer Canvas (O11) and ODC domain-driven design patterns.\nIdentify non-functional requirements, integration needs, and common style guides across all OutSystems applications in the portfolio.\nAssess existing applications for performance, architecture quality, and adherence to best practices; recommend and implement improvements.\nHands-On Full-Stack Development\nDevelop complex OutSystems web and mobile applications in both O11 (Service Studio, Integration Studio) and ODC (ODC Studio, ODC Portal) environments.\nBuild and maintain REST/SOAP integrations with core banking systems, trading platforms, CRM solutions, and third-party financial services APIs.\nExtend OutSystems with C#/.NET when platform-native capabilities are insufficient for the required solution.\nImplement responsive UI/UX using OutSystems UI frameworks, Angular, or React as applicable; adhere to accessibility and brand standards.\nTechnical Leadership & Mentoring\nConduct structured code reviews; provide actionable, constructive feedback aligned to OutSystems architecture best practices and secure coding standards.\nMentor junior and mid-level developers; actively support team members' OutSystems certification journeys (Associate through Professional/Architect levels).\nLead technical grooming sessions, design reviews, and solution walkthroughs with development, architecture, and QA teams.\nAct as the OutSystems subject-matter expert (SME) for platform queries, escalations, and architectural decisions within the team.\nDevOps, Performance & Delivery\nManage application deployments via LifeTime (O11) and ODC Portal, including environment promotion, hotfix management, and rollback procedures.\nCollaborate with DevOps/DevSecOps teams on CI/CD pipeline integration and infrastructure-as-code practices for OutSystems applications.\nProactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory issues, and integration failures using OutSystems performance profiling and monitoring tools.\nParticipate in release planning, sprint ceremonies, and capacity estimation; support multi-team or dual-shore delivery environments when applicable.\nTechnical Competencies\nOutSystems Platform Mastery: Deep O11 expertise and working ODC knowledge; able to guide platform evolution and migration decisions.\nFull-Stack Depth: Extends OutSystems with C#/.NET, SQL, and front-end frameworks when the platform requires it - not just a low-code developer.\nSolution Architecture: Translates complex business requirements into clean, performant, and maintainable OutSystems designs.\nIntegration Fluency: Confident building and debugging enterprise integrations across diverse banking system landscapes.\nSecurity Mindset: Proactively identifies and mitigates application-layer security risks; comfortable in audit and compliance conversations.\nBusiness Curiosity: Highly driven to understand the business processes behind the technology, not just the technical ticket in front of them.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.\n7+ years of overall software development experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on OutSystems development (O11 required).\nStrong full-stack development foundation: proficiency in .NET/C#, SQL Server (or equivalent RDBMS), JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.\nDemonstrated experience delivering OutSystems applications in a financial services, banking, or similarly regulated environment.\nDeep command of OutSystems development tools: Service Studio, Integration Studio, LifeTime (O11);
