You'll work with a range of modern database technologies, designing scalable solutions, improving performance, automating processes, and helping teams make the most of their data.\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and wants to work in a collaborative, cloud-focused environment.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\n\nDatabase Design & Development\nDesign, build and maintain relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Aurora and MongoDB.\nDevelop scalable, reliable database solutions that support business and product goals.\nAutomation & DevOps\nIntegrate database deployments into CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, migrations and releases.\nDevelop and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.\n\nPerformance & Reliability\nOptimise queries, indexes and database performance to improve efficiency and reduce costs.\nSupport high availability, backup, replication and disaster recovery strategies.\n\nMonitoring & Security\nImplement monitoring, alerting and logging to maintain database health and performance.\nApply security best practices, including encryption, access controls and compliance requirements.\n\nCollaboration & Problem Solving\nPartner with developers, DevOps engineers and platform teams to deliver secure, reliable solutions.\nTroubleshoot complex technical issues and carry out root cause analysis to prevent future problems.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nExperience working as a Database Engineer or Database Administrator, including experience in a cloud-based environment.\nStrong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server or Aurora, with deep expertise in at least one platform.\nExperience working with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Liquibase.\nHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform or CloudFormation.\nUnderstanding of AWS, with knowledge of Azure or GCP considered an advantage.\nStrong knowledge of database security, encryption and auditing practices.\nExperience working with Kafka environments.\nExcellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.\nA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\n Pay range for this role: £75,000.00 - £85,000.00\nReady to Apply?\n\nIf you're excited by the challenge of designing scalable data solutions, improving performance and building modern cloud-based database platforms, we'd love to hear from you.\nApply today and help shape the future of live entertainment technology with AXS.\nYou can find out more about life at AXS here: https://aegeurope.com/brands/axs/\n\nWhere: This role is based in our London Head Office near London Bridge station.
