Bring your enthusiasm, your big ideas, and your desire to team up with some of the best and brightest in technology and entertainment. \nThe Role\nAXS actively seeking aDatabase Engineer to provide quality, scalable data solutions for AXS products. The candidate will be expected to collaborate to design and then develop, implement, and optimize critical databases, processes and reports to achieve business goals and support the development and data platform teams.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, implement, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Aurora, MongoDB, etc.).\n\nIntegrate database deployments into CI/CD pipelines to enable automated schema migrations, rollback, and testing.\n\nDevelop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) for database provisioning (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).\n\nImplement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure database performance, health, and security.\n\nOptimize database queries, indexes, and execution plans to improve performance and reduce costs.\n\nManage high availability, replication, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.\n\nCollaborate with developers, SREs, and DevOps engineers to ensure smooth and secure application-to-database integration.\n\nEnforce security best practices, including encryption, key management (AWS KMS/CMK), access control, and compliance with data regulations.\n\nAutomate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.\n\nTroubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n\n5+ years of experience as a Database Engineer / DBA with at least 3+ years in a DevOps/Cloud environment.\n\nProficiency with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Aurora (at least one deeply, others working knowledge).\n\nExperience with CI/CD tools (Liqbase, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).\n\nHands-on experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).\n\nExpertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure/GCP a plus).\n\nSolid understanding of database security, encryption, and auditing.\n\nSolid understand on Kafka cluster. \n\nStrong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills\n\nPay Scale: $100,000-$120,000\nBonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements. \nBenefits: Full-time: We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes: medical, dental and vision insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick time, company paid basic life insurance, voluntary life insurance, parental leave, 401k Plan (with a current employer match of 3%), flexible spending and health savings account options, and wellness offerings.
