We have offices in Montreal (Quebec), Austin (Texas) and Nicosia (Cyprus). \n *A select number of positions require full-time in office attendance* \nThe successful candidate will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting close, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role also manages budgeting and forecasting, internal controls, and audit coordination, while supervising the accounting team and providing insight on complex accounting issues.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nManage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.\nPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.\nOversee month-end and year-end closing procedures.\nManage budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting.\nEnsure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.\nCoordinate internal and external audits.\nSupervise and support the accounting team.\nReconcile bank accounts and monitor financial transactions.\nImplement and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.\nReport financial performance and variances to senior management.\nWhat you'll need to be successful:\nMust haves: \n7+ years of accounting experience\n2+ years of leadership and/or mentorship experience\nProficient in MS Excel\nAnalytical mind and problem solving skills\nStrive to drive change and improve processes and efficiencies\nAbility to manage multiple priorities\nStrong command of IFRS\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple departments\nNice to have: \nACCA/ACA qualification\nKnowledge of Microsoft Great Plains and/or Prophix and/or Planful considered an asset\nKnowledge of PowerBi and other analytical tool considered an asset\nPrior experience in supporting a budgeting process and analyzing KPIs considered an
