As a leader in our industry, we have over 22 GW of utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable energy projects in development and 33 projects in operation or construction across North America. \nWe are seeking a transactional attorney to work closely with the Senior Associate General Counsel on a broad range of EPC and Operations mattersand be part of our lean and dynamic team. Scope may includeprocurement of major equipment, long term service agreements, EPC contracts and balance of plant O&M agreements,as well as the handlingofcontractdisputes, change orders and compliance matters that may arise, during a period of rapid company growth. \nResponsibilities: \nWork collaboratively with internal legal, commercial, and technical stakeholders as well as external counsel in drafting, reviewing and negotiating equipment supply and EPC contracts (and related services);\nManage multiple transactions; \nSupport the Execution, Operations and Asset Management teams during the construction and operational life cycle of the projects; \nFacilitate legal support for cross-functional teams, focusing on regulatory compliance and strategic legal positioning; \nInterface and negotiate directly with suppliers, EPCs, operators, and other counterparties as needed; \nOversee and manage external counsel in a wide range of matters; \nIdentify and succinctly communicate material risks and proposed solutions to Aypa’s executives and team leads; \nFind ways to optimize and improve templates, processes for efficiency and compliance and apply best practices; \nOther duties as assigned. \nKey Qualifications \nJD from an accredited law school;\nActive bar licensure in at least one US jurisdiction; \n5+ years of post-qualification experience, with demonstrated experience in utility-scale battery energy storage procurement, construction andoperations;\nProven ability to manage multiple complex transactions and competing priorities; \nDriven and takes ownership of deals to ensure timely execution and follow through; \nStrong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency; \nExcellent organizational and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail; \nExceptional written and verbal communication skills; \nStrong interpersonal and diplomatic skills; \nHighest standards of ethics and integrity. \nCompensation and Location: \nSalary: A base salary commensurate with experience. \nBonus: An annual bonus will be awarded based on both individual performance as well as the overall success of the business.\nBenefits: Aypa offers an attractive benefits package with excellent health care/dental/vision, 401k matching, unlimited vacation, paid parental leave, and other health/wellness benefits.\nLocation: Remote (USA).
