Reporting to the Directorof Operations, this role owns the facility’s systems, infrastructure, execution of capital investmentstrategy, managing contractor major projects, and the broader operational framework that enables the team to execute.\nThe Facilities Manager executes theexpectedstandardsfor maintenance, manages themaintenancebudget, leads the maintenance team, and partners with the Director of Operations to ensure facility systems meet requirements thatallow align facility performance with business goals.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nOwn and manage the overall safety environment for the facility,facility grounds, and safety for the maintenance department.\n\nCollaborate with National Leaders to provide strategic direction and overall maintenance management of the facility, grounds, and all physical infrastructure.\nManage and oversee all contractor projects, major construction projects, and capital expenditure (CapEx) initiatives.\nOwn and manage the full facility maintenance budget, including forecasting, variance reporting, and cost control.\nLead the hiring, development, evaluation, and performance management of the maintenance team. \nEstablish and maintainstandard operating procedures (SOPs) and preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and systems.\nOwn and maintainall assets within MaintainX, including asset records, work history, and system integrity. \nPartner with the National team on equipment procurement, installation, and facility improvement initiatives.\nEnsure all work areas meet safety, cleanliness, and regulatory standards.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminatewaste and improve facility efficiency.\nServe as the primary escalation point for facility breakdowns after hours, on weekends, and holidays.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nStrong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. \nDemonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nProven experience managing contractors, construction projects, and capital expenditures.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nHighly self-motivated with a strong senseof ownership and accountability.\nExperience managing budgets and driving financial performance.\nProject management experience is required.\n\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent combination of work and education experience accepted.\n\nExperience\n7-10 years of facilities management experience, preferably in agriculture, biotech, cannabis, or regulated manufacturing.\nDemonstrated experience managing contractors and major capital projects.\nExperience with CMMS/work order systems (MaintainXpreferred).\n\nWorking Conditions\nThis person may be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals, and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree.\nPhysical Requirements\nSitting, standing, and walking motion/movement required throughout the shift.\nFrequently ascends/descends a ladder and uses scissorlift to inspect/maintainequipment.\nOccasionally works in outside conditions including exposure to inclement weather, heat, and humidity.\nOccasional lifting, positioning, or moving items up to 100 pounds.\n\nNothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.\nAyr Wellness is an equal opportunity employer.
