This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their career within a commercially focused and collaborative environment.\nOur Finance function plays a critical role in supporting the achievement of the company's strategic objectives through accurate financial reporting, insightful business analysis, effective risk management, and sound financial control. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will contribute to robust decision-making and help drive sustainable business performance.\nThe Role\nAs a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering robust financial reporting and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. You will take ownership of specific income statement and balance sheet areas, providing analysis and insight to support business performance and informed decision-making.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare monthly management accounts, providing clear analysis and commentary on performance against budget, forecast and prior periods.\n\nOwn accounting and reporting for designated balance sheet and income statement areas, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with Group policies.\n\nPost and review monthly journals, accruals and prepayments in line with reporting deadlines.\n\nProduce meaningful management information and dashboards that support operational and strategic decision-making.\n\nPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring control accounts are fully supported and reconciled.\n\nPartner with budget holders and Finance Business Partners to support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.\n\nSupport the year-end statutory audit process, responding to auditor queries and providing supporting documentation.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.\n\nContribute to finance transformation initiatives and ad hoc project\n\nAbout You\nWe're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with a proactive and analytical approach.\nEssential Skills & Experience\nEssential\nFully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant, or in the final stages of qualification (or equivalent).\n\nExperience within a management accounting, financial accounting or commercial finance environment.\n\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups and data analysis.\n\nExperience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.\n\nAbility to communicate financial information effectively to a range of stakeholders.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nDesirable\nExperience using Power BI or similar reporting and visualisation tools.\n\nExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting and planning processes.\n\nExperience working within a regulated financial services environment.\n\nExposure to process improvement or finance transformation initiatives\n\nWhy Join Us?\nOpportunity to work within a highly respected finance function\n\nExposure to a broad range of financial reporting and business activities\n\nSupport for professional development and continued learning\n\nCollaborative environment where your contribution is valued\n\nThe chance to make a genuine impact on business performance and decision-making\n\nIf you're a driven finance professional looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you with benefits including a competitive pension scheme, Annual salary review and bonus scheme, Give As You Earn (GAYE) scheme, Employee referral scheme (£1,000), GymFlex membership options, Cycle to Work scheme\nHealth & Wellbeing\nLife Assurance, Health assessment options, Travel insurance, Dental insurance, Critical illness cover, Personal accident insurance.\nTime Off & Work-Life Balance\n25 days’ annual leave + an additional Celebration Day, 37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday, no weekends, Holiday buy & sell scheme, Volunteer days , Time allocated for personal development, Study support (where applicable).\nWorkplace & On - Site Facilities\nFree parking (limited) , EV charging points, Bike storage & shower facilities, Complimentary breakfast, Staff and social events\nStudies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for an opportunity unless they exactly meet the criteria specified.
