seeking an accomplished General Manager - Civil Construction to provide overall leadership for our civil construction operations and the delivery of multiple large-scale projects.\nThis is a senior executive leadership role with responsibility for business performance, P&L, project delivery, construction operations, commercial performance, manpower, cost, quality, HSE, and overall operational excellence.\nThe successful individual must come from a strong main contracting / civil construction background with extensive UAE/GCC experience managing multiple high-value projects, large site workforces, and senior project leadership teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide overall leadership and strategic direction for civil construction operations across multiple projects.\nTake ownership of P&L, budgets, profitability, cash flow, cost control, and overall business performance.\nLead multiple large-scale construction projects from mobilization through execution, completion, and handover.\nEnsure projects are delivered within approved budgets, schedules, quality standards, and contractual requirements.\nLead and manage Project Directors, Project Managers, Construction Managers, and other senior project leadership teams.\nOversee construction, engineering, planning, commercial, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and project control functions.\nMonitor project progress, productivity, manpower utilization, cost performance, cash flow, and profitability.\nDevelop construction strategies, execution plans, manpower plans, and resource requirements across the project portfolio.\nManage large site workforces and ensure effective deployment of manpower, equipment, and resources.\nReview project schedules, critical paths, delays, and productivity and implement recovery or acceleration plans where required.\nDrive effective subcontractor management, including performance, productivity, commercial compliance, and delivery.\nOversee major contractual and commercial matters, including variations, claims, extensions of time, subcontractor issues, and cost exposure.\nWork closely with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials, subcontractors, and construction resources.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.\nIdentify major project and business risks and ensure appropriate mitigation and corrective actions are implemented.\nEstablish and monitor project and operational KPIs covering schedule, cost, productivity, quality, safety, and commercial performance.\nEnsure strict compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, statutory requirements, QA/QC standards, and HSE requirements.\nDrive productivity improvement, cost optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement across construction operations.\nDevelop and mentor senior project leadership teams and establish clear accountability across the organization.\nProvide regular project and business performance updates to executive management.\nSupport the Group’s future growth through effective capacity planning, organizational development, and construction delivery strategy.\nQualifications and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.\nMaster’s degree, MBA, PMP, Construction Management, or other relevant professional qualifications will be an advantage.\nMinimum 20-25 years of progressive experience in Civil Construction / Main Contracting.\nSignificant experience in a General Manager, Managing Director, Executive Director, Operations Director, Project Director, or equivalent senior leadership position.\nStrong UAE/GCC construction experience, preferably with leading main contractors.\nProven experience managing multiple large-scale construction projects simultaneously.\nStrong project experience across high-rise towers, large residential developments, communities, commercial buildings, or mixed-use developments.\nDemonstrated experience managing large project portfolios, significant annual construction turnover, and large site workforces.\nProven P&L ownership with responsibility for budgets, profitability, cash flow, cost control, and financial performance.\nStrong experience managing Project Directors, Project Managers, Construction Managers, and multidisciplinary project teams.\nComprehensive understanding of construction methodology, project planning, engineering, procurement, project controls, and site execution.\nStrong commercial and contractual knowledge covering claims, variations, EOT, subcontractors, procurement, and contract administration.\nProven ability to recover delayed or underperforming projects and deliver in fast-track construction environments.\nStrong knowledge of UAE construction practices, authority requirements, quality standards, and HSE regulations.\nRequired Skills & Competencies\nExecutive-level
