ALH operates state-of-the-art facilities and programs to meet the evolving needs of clinical research and overall patient treatment.\nJob Summary:\nArizona Liver Health is looking for qualified candidates for the Accounting Specialist position in Chandler, AZ.\nTitle: Accounting Specialist\nCompensation: $23 - $29 per hour\nStatus: Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt\nReports to: Accounting Manager\nWork location: Onsite in Chandler (8am-5pm)\nEssential job functions/duties \nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. \nPrepares and maintains financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.\nPerforms general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.\nAssists in preparing monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements. \nMaintains the general ledger.\nCodes invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and closes the monthly books.\nReconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifying deposits, and addressing inquiries from banks. \nReconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.\nVerifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.\nFiles forms with federal, state, and local government agencies. \nWorks with the purchasing and invoicing system. \nMaintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities Required \nBasic understanding of general accounting principles, concepts, terminology, and best practices\nUnderstanding of healthcare industry preferred\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nExcellent organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software\nStrong analytical skills including proficiency in usage of Microsoft Excel required\nPrior experience using accounting software (QBO) preferred\nEducation, credentials, and/or trainings required\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required\nAt least one (1) year experience in accounting and finance as a clerk or AP specialist required\nRelevant accounting certifications preferred\nSupervisory responsibilities\nNone\nWork environment\nOffice setting\nPhysical demands\nAble to lift at least 15 lbs.\nAble to sit for long periods (at least 50%)\nAble to type and do computer work for long periods\nTravel Requirements\nSome interoffice travel may be required with use of company vehicle or mileage reimbursement\nBenefits & Perks:\nHealth, Dental, Vision (with HSA plans and employer contribution)\n2 weeks PTO\n5 days Sick Time\n7 Company Paid holidays + 2 Paid Half-days\n401K with 6% company match\nShort & Long Term Disability\nEducational Assistance\nShared company vehicles for required travel\nEEO statement\nIt is the policy of the Institute for Liver Health DBA Arizona Liver Health and Arizona Clinical Trials to provide equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
