ALH operates state-of-the-art facilities and programs to meet the evolving needs of clinical research and overall patient treatment.\nTitle: Facilities Technician\nStatus: Full-time, Non-exempt\nSalary: $26.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience\nLocation: Chandler, AZ\nEssential job functions/duties\nReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\nCollaborate with the Facilities Managers, who assign, prioritize, and review work.\nProvide regular updates to Facilities Managers and escalate issues as needed.\nRespond to emergent facilities issues, triage accordingly, and resolve in a timely manner, including escalation to trusted vendors when necessary.\nPerform hands on repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building upkeep.\nPlan and coordinate installations, maintenance, and service with trusted vendors.\nSupport building maintenance for Arizona Liver Health, Arizona State Urological Institute, and other related entities.\nSupport vehicle fleet management, including routine maintenance, registration, etc.\nProvide support to Operations management including hanging installation of various office and interior components, assembly of furniture, and other related requests.\nSupport routine inspections of buildings to ensure smooth operations and identify potential issues.\nPerform proactive preventative maintenance of facility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and others to reduce stress on systems and improve longevity.\nDocument processes and keep maintenance records. Provide periodic detailed reports to Operations management regarding work completed and in process.\nCollaborate with team to ensure building security and function of security services.\nTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and building systems.\nAssist with Vendor acquisition/scheduling.\nOrganize/manage multiple inventories: tools, materials, etc.\nShare the on-call afterhours responsibilities with Facilities Team.\nMust be willing to do the “dirty jobs” with a great attitude.\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities Required\nReliable and professional individual with a high ethical code and moral conduct.\nAt least three (3) years of experience in facility and/or building maintenance.\nPreferred one (1) year of apartment maintenance.\nGeneral handyman, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, HVAC, vehicle, and building maintenance knowledge is required.\nWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations.\nPositive attitude with a high aptitude to learn.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nReliable transportation with valid driver’s license and clean driving record.\nAbility to work with limited supervision and take direction/constructive criticism.\nTeam player with good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).\nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.\nBasic computer skills for work order systems, email and teams' communication, and maintenance reporting.\nOther duties\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
