healthcare-critical systems.\n\nThe candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions: \n\nTest Strategy and Implementation: \nDesign and implement end-to-end test automation strategies for web (React/TypeScript), backend APIs (Node/TypeScript), and mobile (Flutter) applications.\nBuild and maintain Playwright test suites for web applications with a focus on critical user workflows.\nDevelop API test automation using JMeter for load/performance testing and Jest for functional API testing.\nCreate and maintain Flutter integration and widget tests for mobile applications.\nEstablish testing best practices, standards, and documentation for the engineering team.\n\nQuality Assurance and Reliability: \nDevelop comprehensive test plans for new features with consideration for healthcare compliance requirements.\nImplement CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing across all platforms.\nMonitor and improve test coverage metrics, identifying gaps in existing test suites.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to integrate testing early in the development lifecycle.\nPerform root cause analysis on test failures and production issues.\n\nHealthcare Domain Considerations: \nUnderstand and test for HIPAA compliance requirements and data security protocols.\nValidate API integrations with EHR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks) and HL7/FHIR standards.\nTest complex healthcare workflows including patient data handling, appointment scheduling, and clinical documentation.\nEnsure audit logging and compliance tracking functionality works correctly.\n\nRequirements: \n3+ years of experience in test automation with at least 2 years in a similar role.\nStrong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript for test development.\nHands-on experience with Playwright for web automation testing.\nExperience with Jest for unit and integration testing.\nProficiency with JMeter or similar tools for API load and performance testing.\nExperience with Flutter testing framework (widget tests, integration tests).\nStrong understanding of API testing methodologies (REST, GraphQL).\nExperience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).\nProficiency in version control with Git and collaborative development workflows.\n\nTesting Expertise: \nDeep understanding of testing pyramids and when to apply different testing strategies.\nExperience with test data management and mock data generation.\nKnowledge of test design patterns (Page Object Model, Screenplay pattern, etc. )\nExperience with visual regression testing tools.\nUnderstanding of accessibility testing (WCAG standards).\nExperience with database testing and validation.\n\nSoft Skills and Mindset: \nSelf-starter who can work independently and take ownership of the testing infrastructure.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\nExcellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.\nAbility to balance speed with quality in a fast-paced startup environment.\nProactive in identifying potential issues before they reach production.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \nExperience in healthcare technology or other regulated industries (fintech, etc. )\nUnderstanding of HIPAA, GDPR, or similar compliance frameworks.\nExperience with multi-tenant SaaS platform testing.\nKnowledge of security testing practices and tools.\nExperience with monitoring and observability tools (DataDog, Sentry, etc. )\nFamiliarity with mobile test automation on both iOS and Android.\nExperience with visual testing tools (Percy, Chromatic, etc. )\nBackground in performance optimisation and bottleneck identification.\nExperience mentoring junior QA engineers or developers on testing
