You will be based at our Portage, IN facility and will work cooperatively with customers & members of the production and distribution team to grow existing customers, support new customers and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction.\nIn addition to being the representative of our customer and their advocate, you will:\nGenerate new & repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner\nDetermine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions\nPresent price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles\nAccurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns\nProvide accurate information regarding scheduling and availability of items\nObtain and provide accurate information relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery\nProactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability\nIncrease sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales\nEducate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction\nMonitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed\nContact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint\nRemain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments\nSetup and maintain customer files\nIdentify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction\nManage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the team\nMaintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software\nFollow company policies and procedures\nPresent a professional image at all times to customers and vendors\nConduct ongoing customer needs, analysis, research of customer requirements through first party resources.\nComplete contact activity reports\nAssist in sales projects like price increases etc.\n You will bring your High School diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of customer service or inside sales experience, preferably in an industrial setting along with being a highly motivated self-starter who is articulate, persistent & outgoing with a professional demeanor to the team.
